Chris and. Victoria are lovely people who do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast is lovely and Victoria always asks would you like any more.

The property is in an ideal location with off site parking although the property is directly on the roadside which is a bit dangerous.

A lovely twixmas break in Bowness, warm welcome at the Hazeldene. Spacious room, very comfortable beds. Quality freshly cooked breakfast. Hosts Chris and Victoria couldn't do enough for us. Will definately return. Perfect central location too.

Fab stay in Bowness

Had a relaxing stay at Hazeldene. Room was very spacious with lovely view of the lake. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast on Sunday but Chris & Victoria offered us toast & cereals before we left. We live not far away but would definitely stay again when in Bowness

The location was very convenient, easy to find and a short stroll into Bowness which has plenty of cafes, bars, shops and amenities. Chris the owner communicated very well from the moment that I made my booking. I was asked what I would like for breakfast in advance and it was very tasty served with a nice cafetiere of fresh coffee. The room was definitely large enough, nice bed and the temperature was comfortable. I will be staying again at some point in the near future!

The guest house had been taken over fairly recently and Chris explained that he and his partner were in the process of updating it. This isn't a negative or something I didn't like, it's fine as it is and will only get better when the owners put their mark on it.

Probably the comfiest B&B in Bowness

Chris and Victoria were very welcoming after our long journey, and they could not do enough to ensure we were happy during our entire stay. The room was spotlessly clean, even in the hard to reach places. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was the best I have had in a very long time (amazing sausages), where everything was cooked perfectly. Each room has its own car parking space, so no chance of having to park in the public car park. A very enjoyable stay. We cannot wait to stop there again.

There was nothing that we did not like about Hazeldene Guest House, apart from us not packing any clothes for the health club.

Great couple of days

Great place to stay just at the top of the main street Chris and Victoria are great host nothing is a problem for them and only a call away if needed The room was spotless the breakfast is just what’s needed to set you up for the day we only had the cooked breakfast but there was cereal and fruit and yoghurts if you wanted. We had a wonderful stay and will be going back .

The breakfast was beautifuly cooked, even the mushrooms which I'm usually not a fan of. Everything that could be locally sourced was from the ingredients in the food to the soap and body wash. The host's were stellar, exceeding every expectation going above and beyond to take care of me and my partner and our needs even at times where we weren't in good shape from pushing ourselves during hikes. There is not a single thing I didn't enjoy about the stay. If you want the best low cost stay for beautiful town of Windermere Hazeldene is the place to be

Lovely Place to stay.

The Hazeldene Guest House-with Free Offsite Health Club, is a great place to stay. It is so close to the centre of Windermere and for exploring further a field, with excellent transport links. Hazeldene guest House is very clean and has everything the hosts Chris & Victoria can think of to give guests an enjoyable stay. They go above and beyond .The breakfast was very yummy. Hazeldene has its own carpark, which is a bonus. We saved a fortune on parking.The room was lovely, clean and bright, with an en-suite. We would definitely stay again.

I liked that it was close to the town of boweness and a short walk to the lake.our room was lovely clean & comfortable with a well stocked hospitality tray. The breakfast was really tasty with the choice of how you would like your eggs. Chris & Victoria were very accommodating & friendly . Would definitely stay again and recommend this property

Incredible stay

We had an absolutely wonderful stay this weekend! Chris and Vicky were truly exceptional hosts — so kind, welcoming, and genuinely lovely people. The room was beautiful and the bed incredibly comfortable, making for a restful and cozy night’s sleep. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location is fantastic, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I most liked the location, staff and, facilities. My allergies were very effectively catered for.

The only small quibble was cold toast when it arrived at the table. However, I understand that catering for my gluten problem in a small kitchen is logistically rather difficult.

a perfect little break which we will treasure

Breakfast was very good and filling. The hosts were very pleasant and welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful, Very quiet even though it was on a main route out of the town. The booklet of suggestions left in the room for what to do in the Lake District both close to the town and further afield was very comprehensive. All in all, given perfect weather, this was a perfect little break. Many thanks to the owners.

It's only due to the nature of the small town that there is a steep ascent up the hill from the lakeside. My wife, who has mobility problems, obviously found it difficult to walk back up to Hazeldene after we had been down to the lake or been down for meals out but this cannot be helped and she enjoyed Hazeldene and the whole experience too

The owner couple were amazingly friendly and helpful , offering very helpful information, umbrellas etc. , also carrying my suitcase from car to room . The place had its own car park .Well located for bus stops, or walk to Lake …. room was small though comfortable, Breakfast was fabulous, to kill for , all fresh and healthy products .

My room was up very steep stairs. The front exit opens onto quite a busy road . There was no communal sitting area . , other than at breakfast.
