We stayed in the Biskey Howe room. The bed is king size, with a single and comfortable fold out bed next to it. The building is clean and so are the rooms. I usually hate taking my shoes off in a hotel room but I didn’t mind here as you can tell it’s been mopped and very clean! Very spacious room and very cosy feeling! Also has a beautiful patio with outdoor decking /seating. Toiletries smell lovely and really excellent communication with the owners. When we needed to contact them they were very prompt and dealt with anything we needed / asked. They also emailed over some great suggestions and I’m glad they did as dinner reservations would have been a nightmare if it wasn’t for the heads up / restaurant suggestions as everything gets booked up very fast! Also they are perfectly located. A 10 minute walk away if not less from all the restaurants/cafes and lake side attractions. They are also situated close to the Beatrix potter attraction and cafe. We stayed with our four year old and did the following:
Walking distance:
1. Beatrice potter attraction /museum
2. Beatrice potter cafe
3. Bowness boat cruise which lead us to a steam train ride, aquarium visit and boat ride back
4. We did a bath bomb making class near by at Hubble bubble organics
Short drive: 20 minutes
1. We walked around Tarn how’s, my son took his bike
2.chocolate factory in Hawkshead near Tarn How’s and we made chocolate eggs, slabs and marshmallows it was so much fun!
Parking is up hill but more than manageable if you don’t have any joint problems /health problems. And you need to be ok with stairs accessing the apartment. There are stairs leading to the building and if you’re in a room higher up you may need to use the stairs then too.
When packing my husband just parked the car outside and loaded the car it really wasn’t an inconvenience and parking was very easy to find up the hill and was only a 3 min walk from the property. My son is 4 and didn’t mind either but perhaps people with mobility issues may not find this suitable.

Amazing suite! The location is perfect, the suite is like home from home. A place to just relax! The best big bath and huge bed!
