The Puddle Duck was one of THE BEST places we have ever stayed in! When we arrived, all we could smell were the roses, coming from the incredibly beautiful garden. The property is absolute perfection! We arrived a few hours earlier than planned, but the owner took us right up to our room. It was spotless, spacious and beautifully decorated.
The attention to detail here is unlike most other places. Nothing has been missed and everything has been tailored to provide you with a perfect stay.
The property itself is on a side street which is quiet and I slept soundly all night. The bed was comfortable and we loved the “made to order” continental breakfast hampers! You order the night before and it arrives at the time you select, right outside your door. The breakfast was a high quality, delicious offering. We loved the owner’s homemade jam too :)
We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again!

We visited the Lakes District for a 4 day vacation and came across this delightful boutique bed and breakfast lodge. We were absolutely delighted with our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room, and the rest of the lodge, were tastefully decorated and cosy. The breakfast was excellent, being continental in style, but very large. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the main part of Bowness-on-Windermere, with multiple cafes and easy walking access to the pier. Parking is available, which is important since parking is at a premium around Bowness. Importantly, the Dales Walking track is also easily accessible and can take you to a number of outstanding lookouts over Lake Windermere and surrounds. Highly recommend this lodge for a comfortable and cosy stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Puddle Duck Lodge. The attention to detail throughout the lodge was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It's in a great location, offering everything we needed, and we felt it was excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We hope to return again one day!
