We love the old house with many original fittings and the colors treated us like royalty

Location was excellent, a 15 minute walk down to the lake and a 10 minute walk up to the village of Windermere. Good parking round the back. Decent sized dining room for breakfast. The owners were very nice.
We were in a small double which was adequate but the shower room was very small and although clean, could have done with some updating.
