With a few tweaks, could be excellent

Good location. Clean room. Good bedding and towels. Could enter with a door code. There is some free parking, but a limited number of spaces so its luck whether you get one or not. For the price its good in the Lakes

We stayed in room 5. The window blind does not fully cover the window, there is a gap. So when a security light is going off directly outside the room repeatedly throughout the night, the light partially comes into the bedroom. The bathroom tap is fitted back to front so I kept splashing myself when trying to turn it off, by accidentally turning it on more. The bedside light on one side constantly flickers, a bit annoying. The shower looks nice but the power of the water is a bit pathetic.

Absolutely fantastic.

We had a one night stay at Latimer House and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we had been upgraded to a suite on the ground floor with its own private terraced area and the standard of the accommodation was exceptionally good. Lovely and quiet room that's spacious and decorated really tastefully. Comfy bed, fridge in room which was handy and just a short stroll into Bowness or Windermere centres with their various restaurants, bars and shops. We had a late check out the next day and the housekeeping team were very friendly. Parking outside was easy and we couldn't fault anything about our visit. We'll definitely stay again for longer next time.

Location is excellent

Room was very plain . Could have benefited from having a dressing table. Also the bed was very unstable and made noise when turning over . The bathroom was big enough to have a bath fitted and would of made the room feel more luxurious

Quality and comfort in a beautiful old building, very tastefully presented and effectively managed.

Everything about Latimer House can be described as 'quality' - from the beautiful spacious rooms to furnishings, decoration, appliances, facilities. ambience and cleanliness - ours was a superb experience, and we would highly recommend. Private parking is available on site, and it's a very short walk to Bowness centre, shops and restaurants. In addition to the physical experience of staying here, and sleeping in an extremely comfortable bed, the attention to detail and attentiveness of the staff (thank you, Jesus and Thomas!) was absolutely unbeatable. I was so impressed that we extended our stay by another night. We will be back on a regular basis. Everything you could wish for.

Common areas and room are spotless. Room feels cosy. Very close to Bowness centre. Windermere a twenty minute all up the road. Very pleasant stay.

Parking is hit and miss. There are five free spaces but two of them are in a garage and it’s difficult to get out as you could end up blocked in if someone is not paying attention. Free parking near by but also hit and miss. My room was nice but it was not the one I was shown. It was smaller and had a smaller window. But it was very comfortable and you felt safe there. Good for single travellers, especially if you’re a woman. You’d feel quite safe here and in the surrounding area.

Absolutely lovely place to stay in bowness on Windermere. Top quality accommodation with that special touch to detail. Stayed in the king superior room with garden terrace. Amazing size room . Amazing hotel! Really clean, extremely comfortable, spacious, felt very safe, fridge facilities, tv with use of Netflix etc, gorgeous bathroom, lovely view. Amazing value for money and it is in the perfect location on the main road only a 2 minute walk into bowness and 10 minute walk into Windermere. Felt very safe, very clean, very comfortable.

Fantastic location and comfy stay! Would stay again for the price!

The location was perfect and in walking distance of all shops, bars and restaurants. The room had a rustic but modern aesthetic and was a lovely room for the price - could not fault that one bit. Although it was too cold to use the outdoor patio (November), it was such a lovely addition, especially in the morning as the sun was rising. The bed was 100/10 - very warm and comfy. The inclusion of SMEG mini fridge was brilliant for us to fill with drinks - very impressed!

Without being picky, the toilet seat was very heavy so it made a loud bang as it often slipped out your hand almost everytime. Once flushed there was a unusually loud sound as the system cleared - this was heard for neighbour rooms toilets also. The shower was good, however the pressure could have been better.
