Wonderful stay we will definitely be returning

So warm and cosy which was lovely after a long day walking in the cold. We only booked a small room for me and my son but it was perfect for the 2 of us And was spotlessly clean with everything we needed including tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate and fresh milk. Breakfast was amazing and we were made very welcome, we will definitely be booking again!!

Amazing B&B with great breakfast

Easy to find and beautifully presented with very highly quality furnishings. It’s midway between Windermere and Bowness so easy to walk to either. Delicious breakfast cooked each morning too.

Comfy room, very nice breakfast, friendly host. Location was great near town but just outside it so was quiet. Very well priced compared to other places nearby. Had parking too

Going to a dance in the lakes

Central for restaurant, shops and bars . Also for our dance.

No rapport with customers. No toilet brush, no shower mat. Shower dribbling so I fixed it. No lighting in dark at front door.

The property was beautiful, it was very easy to find with private parking. It was very close to town so a great base. Our bedroom was spacious with everything we needed.

Excellent stay in a lovely place

A clean, comfortable, warm room in a lovely period property. We couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was excellent, we had the vegetarian breakfast which included a delicious homemade croquette - no rubber quorn sausage things here! Coffee was great & everything was hot & beautifully presented. The location is very convenient for walking to Bowness & parking is private.

Lovely hotel in a quiet, peaceful area of beautiful Bowness on Windermere. Excellent facilities, comfy beds and spotless rooms . Breakfast was perfect, a great selection and perfectly cooked .

Everything was spotless, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the whole house has such a warm and cosy atmosphere. Robyn and Chris were absolutely fantastic hosts, so lovely and welcoming and their breakfasts were simply delicious, with an incredible attention to detail. We would highly recommend staying here, it’s left such a lasting impression on us. Thank you for having us Robyn and Chris!

A perfect B&B - safe, clean, exceptional value for money, and with great hosts.

Our stay at Oakfold house was excellent and we would definitely stay again. When we visit the area in the future, it would be the first place we would look for availability. Oakfold house is a lovely building and the owners were friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts (we tried the Cumbrian and vegetarian cooked breakfasts) were cooked to order and very good. Our room was the attic room. It was advertised as being small and so we knew it was the smallest room in the building. However, for a couple it was perfect and I would recommend it without hesitation. The value for money is exceptional. The room was clean, comfortable and well laid out. Despite being compact, there was plenty of storage and an en suite bathroom. Good choice of tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the room. We had a perfect stay in the lake district and this B&B was a large part of our experience. I can't recommend it enough.
