Comfortable and cosy room, modern bathroom and modern decor throughout hotel. Beautiful view and surroundings. Great location - short walk to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. Good food - great variety for breakfast. Thank you for such a great stay!

Breakfast was excellent and my wheat intolerant partner was catered for personally and extremely well - not our usual experience unfortunately. The breakfast staffing and organisation were really good. Well done!

We enjoyed ourselves. However..... I booked this hotel for its location and the opportunity to enjoy the views from the outside eating area over Windermere and the Langdale Pikes. It was therefore both odd and disappointing that guests were not allowed (during a very hot period of weather) to stay outside in this area beyond a really quite early evening hour ie there was a curfew! It felt as though the children were being called in for bedtime. I presume this is to do with there being no staff onsite overnight. The curfew time also changed from day to day. Our room at the front of the hotel had a lot of traffic noise from the road from early AM. Ear plugs recommended if you are a light sleeper. Less importantly, we lost an umbrella during our stay and although we called twice to try to get someone to look for it, nobody passed on our first message and our second call produced a promise to phone back the same day once lost property had been examined, but nobody ever did.

Breakfast was excellent. Good service, attentive staff. Staff overall were pleasant and helpful. Good parking space.
