Lovely and clean , lovely rooms very comfortable, good location

Rooms were very hot at night , no way to regulate the temperature. We booked a lake facing manor room, but were disappointed with our view. We were on the first floor and could mainly see cars on the car park , we got a very minimal view of the lake. Breakfast was ok .

We went in February as we did last year and is a very relaxing place to stay

We have stayed at this hotel before, there is a full English breakfast available or large selection of fruits and yogurt, toast with a nice bread selection. Pastries if you prefer. Lovely dining area overlooking Windermere and the mountains in the distance

The hotel only does breakfasts which are delicious. Pity they don’t do more meals which I suspect they have tried but maybe just not the business for it. There are lots of local restaurants to try.

Lovely place and great breakfast

The decor was all lovely, the bed was really comfy. Staff were polite and friendly. The homemade cookies were a pleasant surprise and breakfast was incredible! Close to everything. View from the room was amazing! Love the pointed windows.

Literally the only thing that let it down slightly was noisy neighbours, we could hear them talking and laughing through the wall at midnight until 1.30am

Winter Getaway

Lovely recently modernised hotel. Great views! Very comfy bed. Breakfast was nice.

Shame they only have a very limited number of rooms that are dog friendly (1 dog per room). Bar area had no atmosphere in the evening but that could be because it was January.

The location was in short walking distance of the town. Free Parking was available.

Breakfast was only served from 8:30am which is very late considering that it is a hotel. The quality of the breakfast was below expectation. Heating in the room was very high. The Staff were quite short with us.

Perfect weekend break just after christmas , would definatly return.

Room was cozy and very clean and spacious. bed was extra comfy and views from the lord of the manor room was amazing. Breafast was perfect full english amazing stay.

Parking was a little tight on arival but did manage to find a spot in front and left vehicle there for duration of stay.

Perfect home base for a lakes trip!

Immaculate and everything is considered. Some features were absolutely unprecedented like having takeaway cups for coffee so you can take a morning coffee with you. Staff friendly and the view from the breakfast room is truly stunning. All the facilities were in great condition and the room beautifully decorated.

Not really suitable for someone with mobility issues as there are a lot of steps,unless you can get a ground floor room. Room tended to be a bit dark, door lock with a physical key a bit fiddly.

Lovely building with great location on edge of Bowness… but no dinner offered.

Great location on edge of Bowness, with ample free parking. Good breakfast and pastries to take away, including Rum Nicky tarts. Whole hotel has been nicely refurbished.

First bedroom offered had faulty heating, and we needed to argue with Night Manager to get a room change. Bedrooms were small, with antiquated window fixings, so cannot be opened adequately. No dinner service offered.

This is a hotel at the top of its game. In my opinion a great adult retreat.

Freshly decorated room, well appointed, comfy bed, great lighting. Bathroom and shower were really good. Room spotless. Very quiet with beautiful views across to Lake Windemere. Very good breakfast selection in a dining room overlooking the Lake. Staff were excellent and check in very easy.

Had a lovely time

Staff are friendly and approachable. I am Gluten free and there was lots of options, including cereals, and bread. The view is amazing and will we definitely book again.

The room was a bit dated, but we were advised that the hotel is to be refurbished.

A lovely property in a lovely location, with a good choice of breakfast and nice staff.

The property is nicely looked after and very clean. The staff are nice and welcoming always there if you need them. The room was clean and always warm, with comfortable beds, one of the best sleep we ever had when away from home. Breakfast was really good and with a good selection, nothing big, but enough for everyone.

Ideal location to travel around the Lake District. 10 minute walk to Windermere village and Bowness-on-Windermere. Breakfast choice was really good and breakfast are was super modern and comfortable. Ample spaces to park car

The room I was given initially smelled of damp. There had obviously been an issue with the shower room and water had penetrated the carpet, so the carpet smelled awful. But I was given another room and this smelled much better! There is no lift in the building , so if you're on the highest level, there's a good couple of flights of stairs to lug your suitcase up.

Fabulous Hotel, staff welcoming and friendly, perfect location.

Modern, contemporary, beautiful room with fabulous views. Hotel was bright, airy and exceptionally clean. Central and within a 3 minute walk from shops, restaurants and museums etc-lake around a 10 minute walk. Fabulous buffet breakfast served in the clean, modern, luxurious restaurant. Free car parking provided. Will re book here again-wonderfully relaxing.
