Upon arriving at Thornbank Guest house, we were greeted by Mark who was very friendly and gave us info about our room and stay. The building looks inviting from outside, it’s clean and well maintained with some colourful bedding plants. We headed up to our room, it was cleaned to a high standard and well equipped with toiletries, and tea/coffee & biscuits. Beds were comfy and we all had a great sleep. Location was perfect, around a 10 min walk from Bowness and about 10/15min walk to Windermere. Jane & Mark were easy to contact and when we texted them about breakfast arrangements, they were more than accommodating, we really appreciated it.
We would 100% love to return.

The location, the cleanliness and the hospitality by both Jane & Mark. The rooms are all so lovely. We booked 3 rooms and all were superb.

The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast is freshly made, tasty and a lot. The building itself locates on a quiet road beside the main road. Easy to park. Heater is on a comfortable temperature.
