Amazing hotel with perfect facilities - let down by breakfast!

We got a free upgrade and the room was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and the hot tub/balcony was a great experience. The staff were all incredibly helpful and attentive and the spa facilities were perfect. Being able to use them after checkout was also another great feature.

The breakfast was truly awful with cook breakfast options tasteless and seemingly made significantly prior to the breakfast service starting. Eggs seemed to be powdered, coffee was very disappointing and very little alternative options available - very poor for the 5 star rating and the price!

Another great stay

We stayed here for the second time and it was just as good. The hotel met our expectations around comfort and cleanliness. We had a room with a hot tub and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was clean and warm, bed comfortable, staff super helpful.

We had a fabulous time! We stayed in the flats connected to the pub and spa. Facilities were brilliant, staff helpful and pleasant. Over all lovely experience.

Outstanding in everyway.

From the moment we arrived to the minute we left the staff were absolutely fantastic. Glass of fizz on arrival and I nice little tour from concierge "Andy" top bloke. Stayed for my 50th would recommend in a heart beat, we ate at the hotel Mizumi restaurant which was spot on. The facility's were outstanding. Location is a very short walk to the centre of town.

The spa but it was very busy due to not opening until 3

I really enjoyed my stay at Lakes Hotel & Spa. The location is excellent, the room was comfortable and well presented, and the hot tub was a real highlight. A relaxing and enjoyable break overall.

The spa area itself wasn’t as relaxing as expected — it was quite noisy and very overcrowded during my visit. With better crowd management, it could be a much more enjoyable experience.

Great location! Staff were very polite and attentive. Rooms were spacious and immaculately clean! Our room with outdoor hot tub was fantastic! The spa was clean and so relaxing. Will definitely be back!

Relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel with lovely food, although the spa was not great.

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. We had a room with a hot tub on the balcony, this is worth paying extra for. The cocktail bar is a lovely environment to eat and have a drink. We also ate in Mizumi, the food was lovely. The concierge personnel were very helpful and friendly.

The spa was small, dark, busy and not a relaxing environment. Mizumi is quite cramped and dark and the service was slow.

Excellent hotel in a lovely quiet part of Bowness. Only 5 mins walk into the centre of town. The hotel was beautifully decorated ready for the Xmas season.

It’s was absolutely stunning and comfortable stay

First we were welcomed with a welcome drink at the reception. The staff gave us a tour and guide us to the room. The room was clean with nice vibe. I love the hot tub and the pool. I was amazed with the jacuzzi system in the swimming pool and they have steaming room and sauna too. It was so relaxing. Would highly recommend for vacation stay! Next time would try their spa treatment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Birthday Stay at The Lakes Spa Hotel! We stayed at The Lakes Spa Hotel to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and absolutely spotless, with every detail carefully thought through. We also dined at Mizumi, and it was fantastic! The service there was outstanding and the food was absolutely amazing definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The spa facilities were relaxing and luxurious, making the whole experience even more special. Everything about our visit felt calm, elegant, and truly five-star. Thank you to all the team at The Lakes Spa Hotel for making my boyfriend’s birthday so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect couple of nights away!

My partner and I would rate the whole experience a 10/10. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the Lakes Hotel & Spa. The service / staff were outstanding always welcomed with a smile. The room was great, good size and nice views of the surrounding hills. Location was brilliant for getting in and out of town. The food at Mizumi was exceptional must try if you visit. Overall we had a brilliant break and will 100% be coming back in the future. We stopped in the hot tub room which was outstanding super relaxing, couldn’t fault anything. Thanks for the amazing experience.
