Felt welcome, special and taken care of… cannot wait to come back!!

It was clean, newly renovated, felt posh and cozy at the same time! The gym is beyond amazing- phenomenal view from up there! There are pools, a nice terrace - it is very close to but separated from the beach. The beds are very comfy and the staff was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and absolutely everywhere! They think about “how is the guest feeling and how can I help, how can I make them feel welcome” - truly amazing staff from reception, to the cleaners to the waiters and even the hotel manager stopped to asked me how my training was - instead of complaining about me walking through her hotel in a wetsuit… then went on to suggest I try the spa to warm up… oh and the breakfast buffet was amazing! I arrived at 2:30 in the morning and instead of being annoyed that he had to check me in, the person at reception apologized that he could only offer a water a some apples at this hour (not that I wanted anything)…

Nothing really- my husband thought the shower was a bit tight … but he is a big man 😉

Excellent hotel with great services

We had a wonderful stay at El Fuerte Marbella. Our junior suite faced the sea and the view was absolutely fantastic — waking up to the sound of the waves was unforgettable 🌊. The staff were friendly and kind, and a special thanks goes to Laura from the Guest Experience team for her excellent service and warm attitude. Overall, we were happy with everything, though prices are on the higher side. Service can be a bit slow at times — we waited around 15–20 minutes for coffees at breakfast and for the valet to bring our luggage. Still, a beautiful hotel in a perfect location — we’d love to come back!

Not my cup of tea

Beautiful hotel in the center of Marbella.

The rooms are renovated but my first and big complaint is about the bathroom - old tiles with tiny old disgusting bathtub, the towels were so hard like cardboard. Also the toilet is not built-in. My second complaint about the coffee drinks at the breakfast. When I ordered 2 cappuccino to the waiter he told me: over there is the machine.. I replyed to him that I won’t drink cappuccino like this and I want a cappuccino from the barista. Then he told me okay but you must pay for it. Of course I paid every day (which was funny only 5€) for a coffee but for 5star hotel and for a 1000€ per night is unacceptable! Also the average age of the guests in the hotel was over 60. If you are young or want to have fun.. skip this hotel.

An amazing stay and experience

The hotel is immaculate, and the staff was superb. Really enjoyed the lounge filled with relaxing areas with snacks and drinks, an unexpected highlight. And the breakfast was beyond impressive. I was overwhelmed by the options and variety. An absolute must experience

Honestly, I couldn't find anything disappointing much less complain about. The steam room was not fully functional during my stay but hardly an inconvenience

Super Relaxing stay at El Fuerte

Breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable.The rooftop bar had excellent views.

Just a couple of minor points - My wife had Bombay Sapphire and Tonic several times from two different bars in the hotel and was charged at various times 15 Euro, 17 Euro and 18.50 Euro - we later realised part of the difference was whether the tonic water was Fever Tree or the local equivalent - but nowhere on menus or waiter instructions was this explained to us. Eating in the Soleo restaurant we ordered the house Tapas platter. We were very disappointed to find that one of the three tapas was a bowl of plain crisps. All in all the meal in Soleo was very disappointing. Magnificent setting, but disappointing food.

Clean, spacious, modern yet comfortable designs. Lots of areas to enjoy the vairioys pools and comfy loungers. Excellent restaurants and staff were exceptional. Delicious breakfast!!

They charged me extra for some consumptions which I did not use. We had two rooms. I paid for all and assumed that others used it in my group. However, I later found out that they did not use it. When this was reported to the reception, they turned a blind eye to it, saying that your room numbers had been used. There was no way to verify because no signature was required. I would be careful before clearing the bill. I had lounge access, and there was no need for me to use drinks during lounge time outside. This is the only issue. Just be aware of this. It is a fantastic property.

The hole hotel was beautifully curated, going into every detail, the staff was outstanding and very polite and the breakfast was exceptional , I dare to say one of the best I’ve ever had.

The mattress had a protective synthetic material cover underneath which I could feel and hear ( mainly because I sleep without cushions) .

The location is perfect, right on the beach and just steps from the old town. The rooms are elegant, clean, and comfortable with stunning sea views. The staff is warm, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety of fresh options.

Good choice for beach hotel in Marbella if you don’t have high standard in shower units or shower at the pool instead

Super location, amazing breakfast, facilities. Beach is ok, but for Marbella it’s good. Restaurants are good range too. Service level and privacy is top.

Room shower unit is ridiculous. And full of mold…unit pieces semi loose. When you work it you get burnt or cold shocked. I have seen better shower in Motel 6 in Arizona to be honest. Too bad, as it’s really underrating the room and whole experience. Can’t believe more people don’t complain about this.

First rate hotel in lovely location

We loved everything about the hotel. The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and sun loungers too were very comfortable and there was no scramble for a free bed. All furnishings are top quality. Food was superb if a little expensive. We will definitely be back

5 stars! Would absolutely recommend!

Breakfast was amazing, rooms were comfortable, and the amenities are top notch. One of my favorite hotels in the world. Location is excellent and after doing a lot of research on hotels in the area, this hotel I can say entirely is the best in the area. The staff is amazing and they will help with anything you need. The pools have great lounge chairs and umbrellas and the food and drinks are amazing. The rooftop was the cherry on top of the sundae. You can't miss a glass of wine and a sunset up there, it will be your favorite part of the trip. Easy access to the boardwalk and the one thing I really liked about the hotel is that it is elevated above the boardwalk so it looks directly out to the ocean with nothing blocking the view. Truly a 5 star property.

Excellent location, fantastic staff I will return there for sure.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a 5-minute walk to the old town. Additionally, there is a laundry service, a barbershop, a supermarket, and a pharmacy within walking distance, so you can easily access all the services you need. The staff were amazing, and the room was clean. The breakfast offered a great selection, with everything you could want. Overall, the hotel excelled in every aspect, and I have no complaints. One standout feature was the automatic blackout curtain, which allowed for complete darkness in the room. The bathroom was equipped with an automatic bidet that could be controlled via a remote, which I found to be very convenient and personally important. Everything was fantastic, and I will definitely return to the same hotel if I visit Marbella again.

I didn't pay for a sea view, so I didn't get one. The partial sea view was quite expensive, and since I wasn't willing to spend that much, I can only say that it was a bit disappointing. However, my view of the hotel entrance wasn't bad at all.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel and genuinely loved everything about it! 😀 From the warm welcome at check-in to the moment I left, everything was just perfect. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped. The breakfast was absolutely amazing — so many delicious options, fresh ingredients, and great coffee to start the day right. Definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had! I also really enjoyed the two pools — both were clean, relaxing, and a great place to unwind. Whether you’re taking a dip or just lounging by the water, it’s the perfect way to enjoy some downtime. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made everything super convenient. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel experience!

Perfect location for a honeymoon stay

The hotel is gorgeous, from the rooms, the breakfast and dining areas, the spa, to the pool and even the beachfront area - it made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Staff are lovely, food is fantastic, and it’s based in an excellent location close to the old down. You can leave the hotel and walk down the promenade with ease. Highly recommend El Fuerte.
