First off, the ladies who greeted us were absolutely amazing! Thank you for being great, and it makes it hard to leave this type of review. The location was fab, the breakfast was tasty, and the lobby had a charm to it. We were also in a room, right next to a sunny patio, which felt like an extension of our own room. They also let us have late checkout at no extra cost.
This stay was meant to be the capstone stay for the final night of our trip. If we had more than one night at this hotel, we would have demanded booking.com move us the next day. Why, the room had a strong, chemical fragrance smell in the room when we arrived, so we turned off the air freshners... bad choice. We woke up (in the comfy beds), went down for breakfast and when we returned, we noticed a STRONG rancid smell in the room. It was absolutely horrible, we immediately opened the windows and turned back on the air fresheners.
If we had a second night, we would have refused to stay in the room, as it was that intense. I find it unacceptable that we were not informed of this in advance. Despite the ladies being some of the most pleasant people we have met on the trip, I feel not informing us of the situation was completely unacceptable.

Staff very friendly and more than helpful. And genuinely interested in our needs. They even provided umbrellas for the day of heavy rain. Cristina waited up for us on our late arrival and was genuinely welcoming when we arrived. The accommodation had character, not modern cookie-cutter uniformity, and was very clean. it had all requirements and the location was perfect.
There was nothing we disliked.

It is a very quirky hotel - great location, decent breakfast, the decor is quite fussy and dated tbh - I feel bad about saying this as the staff were exceptional - especially the manger Christina who was an absolute delight.
Shower (in the bath) leaked through the screen. Bathroom was very cold but we did visit at New Year . . .

I treated myself to a little birthday escape and couldn’t have chosen better !
A cozy hotel perfectly located in the heart of Marbella’s Old Town, offering a high level of comfort and excellent service.
The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and welcoming. The hotel is run by wonderful women, to whom I’m truly grateful for making our stay so comfortable and pleasant.
Delicious breakfasts, beautiful rooms, impeccable cleanliness, and a sense of peace and coziness throughout.
Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed at The Town House in Marbella and it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by just how warm, friendly, and helpful every single member of staff was. They made us feel genuinely welcome - not just as guests, but as if we belonged there. Their service was attentive without being intrusive, and their recommendations and kindness added a lot to our stay.
The hotel’s location in the heart of Marbella’s Old Town is superb - easy walking distance to lovely cafés, boutique shops, and the beach promenade.
The room we stayed in was stylish, comfortable, and full of character - marble flooring, chic furniture, and a boutique-hotel charm that made our stay feel special rather than generic.
One of the highlights: the breakfast. The breakfast. The buffet was rich in variety and absolutely delicious. There was a broad selection of breads, pastries, yogurts, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit and juices, cereals, excellent coffee—and we enjoyed eating it out on the terrace in the square, which added to the pleasant, leisurely feel of the mornings. Others who stayed have also remarked that “Breakfast was a highlight with a lovely buffet offering a wide variety of options.”
We felt thoroughly relaxed each morning - thanks to both the food and the setting. The combination of a great breakfast + warm service + location made it a very memorable stay for us.
In short: We highly recommend The Town House in Marbella - especially if you’re a couple looking for a charming, relaxing stay in the Old Town with excellent hospitality. The staff made us feel very welcome, and the breakfast was outstanding.

The location in the old town of Marbella
The property is very hard to find . I would suggest searching the Irishman pub and the hotel is opposite. Due to fact the building is old it is very noisy, noise can be heard from other rooms and staff / clients talking

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. The communication with the hotel was excellent, we asked for a quiet room, and we were offered a very beautiful quiet room with a big bathroom & balcony ( room 4). The hotel staff were amazing, especially Cristina who was taking care of us for our entire stay . She made sure that all our needs were met. She went above and beyond. We were given guidance what to see in the old town, where to eat etc.
The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. Greek Yoghurts, boiled eggs, selection of bread, baked goods, cold meats and cheeses. Nice choice of coffee and juices.
We had a kettle and a refrigerator in our room. The room was cleaned every day . The bed was comfortable.
The promenade by the seaside is just 5 min walk.
Overall, an excellent stay , thank you to the Town house boutique hotel and their staff. We will be back !

Staff, location
Room size too small, noisy standard fridge by bed, needs blackout curtains or blinds as there are street lights outside the windows. no sound proofing. Listening to neighbours use the toilet, and talking etc isn’t great. Noisy neighbours ruin the experience.

The location was fabulous ,just 5minutes stroll from the beach whilst being in the heart of the old town. The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful .The room was spotlessly clean, very large comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with great shower.Fridge and a/c in bedroom, private outdoor terrace available to guests.Beach towels available for guests use.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the townhouse and would highly recommend it.

The staff ( all young women ) were super friendly, and efficient, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
I had injured my wrist prior to travelling and was unable to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs ( the escalator was out of order ) so two of the ladies took it upon themselves to carry it up to our room on the 3rd floor and back down again to a more suitable room they found for us on the 1st floor to accommodate my wife who has some mobility issues when climbing stairs.
The self service continental breakfast could be taken inside or, as we did, outside and consisted of a superb array of cereals, cooked meats, wonderful freshly baked bread and everything in between !!
Lovely quirky boutique hotel. All public areas of the hotel were homely and well decorated.
Shower room was disappointing, could do with a little TLC.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Town House. Most reviews were glowing, but as I always prefer to read the poor reviews I concluded that I had probably booked a dud. However, that turned-out not to be the case. The Hotel was charming and the staff were lovely. Yes, it doesn't have all of the facilities of a big hotel, but the description of the hotel is very fair, so you should be aware of that before you arrive. We stayed in Room 2 which was not huge but perfectly adequate. The room was clean on arrival. The bed was comfy but not as dreamy as some have made out. Room 2's bed has quite a firm mattress with a mattress topper but it wasn't uncomfortable. The room had a tiny kettle adequate for 2 drinks but took an age to boil, but the electrics may limit what demands can be put on the system. A coffee machine would have been nice if the electrics can take it.
Breakfast was quite good, but very continental in style with no hot options, but there was plenty of choice and the morning staff were charming and very efficient at replenishing the (good) coffee. The hotel is in a superb location. Strictly, it is sort of on the edge of the Old Town, but that sounds a little negative because you are very quickly in the heart of Old Town in no time at all. The rooms on one side of the Hotel (including Room 2) are close to a small square which on a couple of nights got quite rowdy. The glazing mitigated this somewhat, but may be a problem for the early and light sleepers. The hotel was very close to a number of restaurants, some of which were exceptional in quality, but you have to seek them out and not plump for the obvious touristy ones (even though you're a tourist too!). Generally, we thought the restaurants were quite expensive, but it is the Old Town, and it is Marbella, so no **** Sherlock.
Honestly? Nothing really. The hotel was as described, and better than some reviews suggested. For us charm, location and a smaller "family-type" hotel is always a must when travelling.
My review may sound a bit negative, but it isn't meant to be. We had a lovely week at the hotel and thought it was superb and exceeded expectation. I have just tried to be honest and suggest a few things which some travelers may use when making their decision to book (or not).

Noise. One could hear the staff talk all morning from the breakfast room.
Price was not representative of the level of accomodation either.

Lovely little hotel at the south of the old town, easy to get to, Charming inside. We stayed in room 8 and the room was nice and clean, not truly fancy for the price but we liked it. Staff were wonderful and brekfast was lovely - we sat outside in the square for breakfast which was very peaceful.

Charming boutique hotel not far from the center of town and only minutes to the beach.
Breakfast could have been a little more varied each day, but good nonetheless.

The breakfast and staff were excellent, but the hotel was a bit run down around the does nd could use an upgrade. Th location was good but parking quite expensive. If you like shopping, perfect bur not much else to see in Marbella.
There was a mini bar but wine for guests at $22 euros was almost undrinkable and bottles of water at $3 euros that sell for $1 at Carrefour. I’m used to paying twice th price but three times seems excessive.

Lovely small hotel in a fantastic location. Our room was really nice and even had a four-poster bed. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. As there are only 10 rooms in the hotel, the service is second to none and the staff are so friendly and accommodating.
Would have liked more 'English' breakfast options, and the noise from the bars close by was not great. However, that is not the fault of the hotel.
