Not worth the money.

Property was clean. The room was nice and tidy.

At night or morning there was no staff at reception. Could not store my luggage in the hotel. Location was in neighbourhood with not much lightning.

Really loud. Paper thin walls. And doors. All neighbors and people in stair way and corridor. Suggest you ask for a room at end of the floor away from all traffic. Was not nice. Was as if it was the same room people noisey

Make sure the radiators work

The room was clean and seemed newly renovated. Great shower, bed, and overall nice. Staff was friendly. However, I'd never stay here again during the winter time because the radiators are faulty and make EXTREMELY LOUD noises throughout the night, and the only way to stop it is by getting out of bed and adjust the knobs on the side

The property is located in a great area, close to the old town, so that was incredibly helpful for exploring. The actual property felt safe, and for someone who sometimes gets anxious staying in unknown places, I definitely found it safe and nice.

I got an email from the property at 11am to do online check in. I tried, but the online system kept failing and was incredibly confusing, and also I was asked to pay 50 euros deposit. I thought I’d wait and get to the property to check in, because the online system was truly awful. We got to the property at half four in the afternoon, and we were told that we just made it in on time for check in as all of the staff were going home for the night. Of course I felt lucky, but I did think what I would’ve done if I got there later, unable to do online check in and no staff at the property. It probably would’ve taken us hours, and spilled into our evening plans. We left the hotel at 7am on the day of the check out, and no one was at the reception. I tried to check out online but the system kept failing. I would definitely recommend that the hotel upgrades its online checking in/out system, or at least make sure there’s staff available on site to help. I definitely saw a lot of confused people with suitcases in the lobby trying to use the check in machine and not looking very happy about it. Another negative was two separate single thin duvets on the bed. I think a nice double, thicker duvet would’ve worked better as Salzburg gets pretty cold, especially in the winter.

Very good choice

Nice and clean room. A little bit small, but it is ok, because you have all you need for 2 nights. Very comfortable bed. All in the room is new and clean! The service is perfect! Very cute small compliments!

Good location. Not far from the station & an easy walk along the river to the historic areas. Room with courtyard view was quite.

The cleaning staff seemed to be a bit unprofessional & were playing around in the hallway one day. They also failed to take away used cups & replace to coffee/tea in the room.

Easy access from the airport by bus, walking distance to the old city. Rooms are bijou but cosy, very clean. Complimentary water, tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom with nice shower. Quiet despite being in one main road.

Lovely room, which felt like it was new. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was excellent. Location almost next to the river footpath.

Be aware they do not have front counter receptionist after 10:00 pm . We were lock out from the hotel . Our card key didn’t work and took a long time to get a hold of someone. Horrible experience!

Superb beds

I loved everything in our Plaza Inn stay! I can rarely say that hotel's bed is comfortable but in this case it really, really was. 2 pillows (yay!), soft blanket and great mattress made our sleep perfect. Proper curtains and spacious bathroom was a great addition, mornings were pretty rough when all you wanted to do was to stay in bed. Location was pretty good, short walk from the railway station and to the city center. Staff was really helpful and nice during our stay. Would definitely recommend this!

Exactly What We Needed

We had a pleasant experience at PLAZA INN Salzburg City. The room was compact but clean and comfortable, with a large bed that ensured a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating, letting us check in early without any hassle. The location is very convenient—about a 10-minute walk from the main train station and just minutes from Mirabell Palace and its gardens. At the time of our stay, there were renovation works on the building’s exterior, which might cause some morning noise, but it didn’t disturb us. Overall, a solid choice for a short city stay with helpful service and a central location.

A no frills, sensibly priced clean place to sleep.

The location on the banks of but not overlooking the Salzach river is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the old town itself but is also serviced by bus routes from almost outside the property. It is also an easy 15 minute walk from the main train station. Newly refurbished it offers a clean comfortable base for the tourist. The rooms are quite small but adequate as is the bathroom. The rooms are a little noisy though as the property is situated on a main road but earplugs help light sleepers. There is an elevator which is always a pleasure to find in an older less expensive property and the staff are wonderful. Keen to help and always enquiring whether you are happy with your accommodation. There are a few eating places nearby. The Middle Eastern Sahara restaurant immediately across the road is very good as is the Habesha Ethiopian restaurant across the road and round the corner.

I was very disappointed with the lack of greeting and lack of friendliness by the girl at reception when we arrived. She showed no interest in helping us navigate checking in. Frankly her poor attitude put a negative slant on our stay. The rest of the staff were friendly and courteous. Not all of us that travel are rich, most of us have worked hard and saved to travel overseas!

Stay Marked as No-Show Without Reason

10-minute walk to the train station and 15-20 minutes to the city center. The twin beds were pushed together, with separate duvets provided. Shampoo and conditioner were provided. The chair was comfortable.

My stay at the hotel itself was absolutely fine. The only comments I have are that the refrigerator was not cold at all and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open. However, I’m very disappointed with what happened after checkout. Despite paying directly at the property and completing my stay as scheduled, the hotel marked me as a "no-show" on Booking.com. As a result, a no-show fee was charged to my card. I received no response from the hotel when I first tried to contact them, and I had to go through the hassle of disputing it with both Booking.com and my bank. Although Booking.com acknowledged the error and processed a refund, I still incurred unnecessary bank fees and wasted time in resolving this matter.

Renewed premises, close to main train station, perfect for 1 night

The hotel is recently renovated, all furniture and linens are new. Room was not big but enough for 1 person, and bathroom was quite big. Some lights work with motion sensor. It sounds good and modern but it was weird sometimes. The only one thing I did not like was small fridge which works only when electricity card is in, when you leave your room all electricity including fridge is cut. To solve this issue lady on the reception gave me extra card to keep electricity on when I'm out. And fridge was not cold enough. Hotel is located on appr. 20 min walk from historical center and close to railway station. Perfect place to spend one night.

Good value, great renovation, a little loud

Really well done renovation - not cheaply done. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, location about 15-20 minute walk from the old town. Good value.

The doors into the rooms could do with better sound insulation. People in the corridor were very loud. Very quiet between rooms, so definitely a door problem. The aircon also had an error overnight which left the rooms a bit uncomfortable warm and a restless night, But over all quite happy with the room

Terrible, I left at 06:30.

The tap of the sauer was broken, I could not have a sauer. The heating unit, where the towels were hanging was very durty, except the bar for the towels. In general, the badroom could be cleaner. It is inpossible to use the hotel, for guests with eye sight problems like me. I only managed with the help of a freind.

The property is located conveniently near the Salzburg station.

We arrived on Sunday and did not find any staff at the reception- the staff does not work at the hotel on Sunday! We had to check in on the phone. Phone connection was bad, so several attempts later we found our rooms. There were other guests that faced the same problem and we ourselves helped another family. This is truly disappointing as weekends are busy with travelers and this hotel has no one to check guests in.

It was accessible.

The room was not clean. There was sweat smell everywhere including pillow and bed. We had to spend only one night so kept our shirts on pillow and slept through the night. Bathroom was not clean, the pot had stains in it and washbasin was broken.

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.

The hotel wasn't expensive. The hotel was centrally located. That is all!

When we arrived at the hotel, the main door was locked and there wasn’t any staff. We were lucky to get in as another hotel guest was leaving. He warned us that we may have problems getting a room (although we had received confirmation from the hotel) I had to go from floor to floor (there are 5 floors) until I found an envelope marked “reserved” stuck in the door. The envelope contained the key card. I decided to use this card and enter the hotel room not knowing if the card was for us. We were lucky compared to others gathering in the hallway, trying to get through to the staff on the telephone. The hotel had a very complicated and arduous billing system that doesn’t work. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!

elevator was like a grave and it does not work after 4:30pm. there was no Airconditioning or ventilation in the room. room was so noisy all the night. it was not possible to sleep because the room was too hot and noisy. washroom and room were very dirty and small.

The staff weren’t present the entire time during our stay, so we never had the opportunity to meet them or figure out how the check-in/out process worked. We were forced to use our very limited phone minutes to call them twice, once for check-in and another time for check-out. During our check-out phone call, the lady was extremely rude and refused to give me any information regarding check-out over the phone due to their ‘safety procedure’. However, we were allowed to check-in over the phone just fine regardless of this procedure and without proof of identity. This had us worried that our check-out didn’t go through even though we checked out hours in advance. We even sent an email regarding this and received no response. All their emails were sent in German and when I asked that they send me one in English, I received no response. Along with this horrible communication and presence, the room was located in a building on the Main Street and it was horribly loud our entire stay. We couldn’t sleep for 5 minutes without being awoken by the sounds of people and cars. Finally, the room was barely mediocre. It was small, cramped, dirty, old and run-down. Even if it were a quiet and calm atmosphere, we wouldn’t have been able to sleep due to the lack of comfort of the room.
