The hotel was very clean and tidy and the location was within walking distance of the City.
The restaurant menu was not extensive and had minimal choices hence we did not use the restaurant at all and walked into the city every evening.

Lovely quiet location with stunning views across the Notts/Leics border. Welcoming staff who provide a quick check in with minimal fuss. I've stayed at Hart's many times over the last few years, finding my stay to be relaxing in a spotlessly clean room, comfortable bedding & plentiful room facilities. The hotel is strangely a few minutes walk to the centre of Nottingham yet feels a world away in a quaint, tranquil old town setting. Great feature is that it has secure on-site parking.

Great location for the town but felt peaceful. Gorgeous room, super comfy bed like sleeping on a cloud! Huge bath with luxurious toiletries. Stunning views.
There wasn’t anything to not like.

The beds and pillows were super comfy and the shower was excellent (although I would have preferred to not climb into the bath) it was an easy walk into the city with secure parking for my car. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a garden room which was delightful, opening out onto a terrace with views across the city.
The bedroom was on the small side with the ‘twin’ beds being a double separated with no space between.

Rooms very small and a bit of a 90s halls of residence feel, restaurant very trad British fair, not welcoming when i went in so ended up going out of the hotel to eat, bathroom door broken so didn't slide easily, shower leaked and am sure I heard vacuuming at 8am

Was in a great location m, staff lovely. Great little details.
Always better with more coffee and biscuits. Room was a little too warm but with it being -2 outside it wasn’t too awful.

Harts has been for a long time one of the best places, if not the best place, to stay in Nottingham. It's in a picturesque, quiet and pleasant area of the city, which is a short walk into the city centre. It boasts a lovely garden, incredible views and the service and quality is generally above your average hotel. You will immediately note the plethora of famous guests they have accommodated over the years, with their pictures in the restaurant.
The rooms have comfy beds and, in my opinion, great showers. The towels are decent and the dinky, but ample personal condiments are sufficient.
Staff are usually very accommodating, professional and the general feel of the hotel is pleasant with high standards.
The menu will please 99% of guests wants and the quality of food is excellent and locally sourced from their own farm.
I also love the addition of milk, real milk, in the room to make tea/coffee - That is excellent and much appreciated.
When the garden is in use it's a wonderful sanctuary to relax in and take in the views and solace the hotel can offer.
There are a few things that are not in keeping with the expectation to report in no particular order:
Stop charging customers to park - It gives a vibe of we want you to come here but your personal convenience is not welcome.
The hotel already costs above average price, don't make your clientele pay more for the practicality of bringing their own vehicle, it screams desperation and the car park is small and simply does not warrant this greedy overcharge.
The hotel is looking very tired - Large stains on the carpet in the restaurant, no air conditioning in rooms (which in summer is a deal breaker for us), old TV's and ancient BOSE systems in the room. The lamp on the desk is falling apart and the room phones look like they are 30 years old (I dread putting on to my ear!). While cleanliness is good, the underlying substance is terribly old and worn.
How on earth you can justify not supplying a dressing gown and slippers in this day and age is beyond me. Such a simple addition which makes your guests feel welcome and considered.
Your windows are just waiting to chop someone's finger off - What is this ridiculously aged mechanism, which barely works. I realise this is not your usual piece of feedback but we 3 times nearly trapped our fingers in the slide mechanism trying to shut the window. That's seriously a court case waiting to happen.

Location perfect with fabulous views over Nottingham's Park area and beyond from our second floor room. Short and easy walk into the city centre. Breakfast very good.
We had a superior room but, with the exception of the view, I am not sure what was superior about it. The room was very small. The desk chair and second dining chair need replacing as both were very well worn and uncomfortable to sit on for more than a few minutes. Clothes hanging space is very limited - we were staying for four days in winter so we had difficulty finding enough space to hang/store all the clothes we had with us, and nowhere to put suitcases out of the way once unpacked. We are used to a super king size bed and found the double bed in the room very small. The shower valve was not working properly, it needs attention as the temperature control lever was faulty or broken. There is a health and safety issue with the window closing mechanism. To close it, a small button in the frame edge has to be pushed in and it would be very easy to trap your finger as the window shuts. I first stayed here in what was a lovely, boutique hotel over 20 years ago and back then I found it, as a single businessman, to be fresh, comfortable and ideal for a single person. Since that first stay that was perfect, I have been back several times and this recent stay was the third with my wife. It is a real pity, but I am afraid it could be our last as the hotel is showing serious signs of age and in desperate need of a good refresh. We spent just under £1,000 for our four night stay which I no longer believe is good value for money.

Location and quiet
Lift broken, starting to look tired. Breakfast expensive, very average. Too pushy and too much information when you sit down, just seem to full on, just wanted to have a coffee and read the menu.

Lovely boutique hotel. Have stayed here before a number of times. This time however I was disappointed by the amount of noise in the early morning outside my room.
Far too noisy outside my room (3) in the morning caused by staff and possibly other guests. Multiple door slamming as well. Reported to Manager at front desk on check out.
