Lovely hotel, will stay again

The room was comfy and the bed was huge which was a huge plus as my partner and I don't share beds at home and it was nice to be able to have a wonderful sleep and the bathroom was amazing!!! The staff were friendly and helpful and even offered for us to switch rooms as I am mobility limited, we did decline this at the time as I had more mobility than I do now but they will do much to accommodate those who need the accommodations!!!! It is close to the centre with amazing staff a great takeaway and local shops for extra bits!

I marked down the cleanliness as when we arrived it looked absolutely spotless, no marks/dirty bedding etc but since arriving home and not staying anywhere else since our visit in November we have found bed bugs in my room about a month later!! This had lead to costly treatment and a follow up visit has been booked for the exterminator! This is not a deterrent to not stay at this lovely hotel as it is lovely and close to the centre with amazing staff a great takeaway and local shops, more of a plea to double check your rooms on arrival!!!!!

Great for City Visit

Brilliant location for City access. Buses ran frequently with a stop right outside. Lovely staff, all we spoke to were approachable, helpful and informative. Great room with a really comfy, spacious bed. Well equipped room for our comfort and needs. This will be our go to Hotel on future visits. We were local once and we visit to see family.

Can't think of anything. Maybe biscuits with the tea. How picky is that :-)

Staff were so kind and respectful, breakfast was excellent.

it wasn't very clear when booking that the restaurant was only for breakfast and not for an evening meal , when travelling would have wanted evening meal. This would have effected booking this hotel if realised. Luckily the staff were able to recommend a pub across the road that provided a meal.

The accommodation was very accessible to restaurant and the bus stop was right outside the entrance. Our room was spacious with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was fresh and served every day.

Old Hotel, Old Aminities, the superior executive room was really big with lots of space but it was so cold in the room as the two heater in the room was not enough to heat up the room we needed to ask for extra mobile heater which did not really do the job

large room with all the facilities we needed. Location was also excellent, with a bus stop right outside the front door. Breakfast was excellent. Free onsite parking was one of the main reasons for booking. All the staff were exceptional.

the cleanliness could be improved. When we arrived we had to ask a cleaner to mop the floor because it was sticky and there were signs of beer/fizzy drinks spilled in various places.

Wouldn't return unless I was assured a quieter room with teabags and milk.

Location was good but no sign up saying Best Western so drove past it. Still says Mercure (small sign visible once parked but not from the road).

Tiny room positioned at the corridor crossroads/junction right at the top of the stairwell so very noisy. Also, kept awake all night by what sounded like a metal flap clanging, once finally asleep was woke at 7a.m on a Sunday morning by another guests dog barking loudly. The room's window view was of an enclosed, square roof surrounded on all 4 sides by walls, other's windows and AC units, maybe what the clanging was ? Also, no normal teabags in the room so had to get dressed to go to reception (actually looking like the morning after the night before) just so I could have a cup of tea on awakening. Got back upstairs with teabags to realise only 2 milks between the 2 of us.

A fairly ok stay at a very clean room

The cleanliness of the room and the hotel overall needs to be commended. The bed was fairly comfortable but not that great.

The noise levels were very high, probably because our room was facing the street on the 1st floor. The room in general was freezing cold and once the heater controls were located and switched on it certainly took a couple of hours to warm up. The bathroom sink hot water tap was also faulty.

Very comfortable and suited our needs for our visit to Nottingham.

Check-in was easy. Even though property was converted from 3 old houses, it did have a lift to upper floors. But there was still stairs on each level to get to your room.

Traffic noise was high all night as Is on the main road north out of town.

All radiators on full on arrival, 1pm even though it was a very warm day.Turned them off but still hot when returned at 11pm, had to move rooms which was initially met with resistance but to a much better room. Hotel needs a full refurbishment.

Disappointed.. only location good for the city

Being unable fully close the windows (appreciate it’s a busy road, but not being able to shut out the noise. Then the dustbin man came at 6.30am rolling the large metal bins outside the room/ down the driveway, shouting. I again appreciate this needs to happen, but why position someone right above it, especially when it’s not a busy day (Monday). Ir even ask if you mind? It was meant to be a superior room, looking very tired. Hallway needed a good hoover. I did express my disappointment on leaving, we was offered a free tea/coffe. Didn’t accept. Also night staff asleep when we arrived back at 11pm.
