Comfortable, clean and friendly environment

It was a lovey property, literally directly opposite the train station which was great

The room we stayed in we was woken up at 4.30am due to the Tesco express next door having a delivery. This isn’t a reflection in the hotel it was just outside noise. Pillows could be a little comfier but that’s jus me nit picking

Really enjoyed the Bentinck and will return

Nice welcome in the evening and at breakfast. I've been a little wary of staying here before because some of the rooms didn't have ensuite facilities. As a prostate cancer sufferer I need the bathroom several times at night, so no ensuite is no go for me. So, it was wonderful to have a room with a nice new ensuite.

The flow of water from the tap in the ensuite was a dribble, so it took a while to get sufficient to wash and shave.

Perfect for an overnight next to the station.

Location perfect -- step out of the station and it's there. Staff very friendly, bed nice, breakfast ok. Basic but just what I needed for a brief overnight stay. Would suggest earplugs as it's on a main road and could be noisy with traffic.

It was cold as it was single-paned but the bathroom heating was good. The light and fan in the bathroom were motion activated and didn't go off for ages -- it meant if you went to the loo in the night the full glare would be on for ages after.

Lovely hotel in great location

A lovely character hotel close to the train station. Clean and comfortable - just right for a one night stay Staff were welcoming and friendly, continental breakfast was lovely

We had a room with a shared bathroom because no other available on our selected night. It didn't appear that anyone else was using it, but would pay more for an ensuite next time

Bentinck Hotel is sufficiently comfortable, friendly and well located for short stays in Nottingham

The double room was compact, warm, comfortable with reasonable facilities; while the bathroom sensor light took time to switch off: be aware there is no lift at this hotel and two flights of stairs with my travel bag to my room. There's a light continental breakfast, which is not made clear on booking.com as the type of breakfast available. Just beside Nottingham train station and therefore convenient for short stays. No late reception-so remember your front door key after 7pm.

How does a contemporary hotel manage with different guests without a lift ? Guess it's the building design. Bathroom sensor light a nuisance and the temperature in here could have been warmer. Be clear on type of breakfasts available.

lovely hotel room was spacious and clean, staff friendly and very central to the city. continental breakfast was good.

Location very noisy we were given room 2 - view of the station entrance, we were woke up at 5am with the deliveries for next door (Tesco). Light in the bathroom sensored so if someone went in through the night it stays on for a while.

The lady in the reception was extremely friendly. The room was lovely and the whole house has a lot of character. Many great sights nearby, Breakfast was quite ok.

Friendly acute staff straight from train, even though we arrived early we sat in the lovely bar and watched the world go by. Morning breakfast again staff 👍

Only negative really is the shower door mechanism needs amending, didn’t open smoothly was a faff.

Great value for money, would stay there again in similar circumstances

Super convenient and good value for the price. I just needed a place to crash before an early train from Nottingham station, and it was more than nice enough for that! I've stayed in much worse places for much more.

It's worth noting that, being next to the station and right in the middle of town, there can be a bit of noise/shaking as the trains go by.

Possibly the friendliest and more helpful hotel staff I've ever encountered

Very friendly and helpful staff. A comfortable bed. Lots of tea and coffee supplies. Nice bathroom.

There are one or two things in the room that require repair or maintenance, but they did not affect me adversely.

A nice hotel in a good location but noisy if you are in a room opposite the station.

The room was clean, warm and bright, the sheets were fresh and the bed was comfortable. The shower was nice and the water was hot.

We hadn't realised that we had to climb three flights of stairs to get to recption. There were two drawer knobs missing from the bedside cabinet. the towel warmer was not on. There was a lot of street noise from people shouting when they went into or came out of the station and also at 5.00am when lorries pulled up undernrath the window to make their deliveries. We had a disturbed nights sleep. ,

Excellent city centre budget hotel with great staff.

Location next to the railway station was ideal. Not sure how it would be for car parking. We receved a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff, who were very keen to make us feel at home. Breakfast offer was excellent. The room was very comfortable and even quiet despite us sleeping with the window open on a Saturday night. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thank you.

Location was perfect for wedding reception which was couple minutes walk away , room was big nice and clean and had everything we needed

Lovely atmosphere. I hope the owners realize the hotel isn’t their treasure the staff are. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. They made the stay worthwhile.

They were just a few silly little things; the wall mounted toilets were too high unless you have long legs. They were a couple of other things but the hotel is to be remodelled which will sort these issues.
