    Overall, our stay was lovely. The room was clean and tidy, and all the staff were friendly and approachable. The garden was lovely, and the views from our room on the first floor were really nice considering we were in the city. My only gripe was the size of the room. We booked a superior room, but it was much smaller than it looked in the photos. It fit the bed, with very little extra space to move around, so it did feel a bit claustrophobic. The room was also stifling hot as there was no air conditioning. Even with the window open, the heat was intense at times. There was a fan in the room, but it was really noisy and not something you could sleep with. There was also a “summer vent” in the room, but even when it was switched on, it didn’t seem to bring the temperature down, so I’m still not entirely sure what it was meant to do. Parking onsite is limited to around eight spaces, so we used the NCP Mount Street car park just down the road. It cost £12 with a discount ticket from reception.

    Absolutely loved our stay here with our dog. The staff were incredibly helpful and the breakfast exceeded all our expectations. Would happily return to this hotel. The garden and view was an added bonus.

    Lovely room - a suite - beautiful view - and very nice reception staff. However, at check out at 12.01 (checkout was at 12) two ladies knocked on the door to remind us of checkout. My partner has a current physical disability and we asked for a few minutes for her to refit her leg brace which had been causing her pain. 2 MINUTES later a man banged (not knocked) on the door asking us to leave. We explained and he left, he banged to door 2 Minutes later and asked us to ‘get out’, we asked for 2 minutes and he said he would stand there and count. He stood there at the door while my partner had to rush to refix her leg support. It was humiliating for my partner. We reached reception and checked out at 12.10 but were treated appallingly. I would avoid this hotel if anyone has any additional needs. The room also smelt of smoke. The manager did apologise and reception staff were lovely and understanding, but these three members of staff ruined what could have been a lovely experience.
