Close to the activities located at the barracuda hotel

The apartment had ants and bugs, and the bathroom door was completely off the hinges and did not close and did not lock

Nice hotel with good facilities close to the beach.

The room was on the 8th floor and we had a great sea view. It was quite spacious with a comfortable bed and a small kitchen area. The hotel itself is in a good location close to the beach and has a decent amount of facilities. The outdoor area is also very pleasant.

The first room we were given had a smell of cigarette smoke so we complained and were offered a different one. Some of the fittings were a bit loose. Although the kitchen area was useful to have, there was no washing-up liquid or tea towel supplied so it was tricky to clean plates and cutlery after a meal.

The position it is in, the staff were very good. Our final room was much better

The first two rooms, had terrible smells, ie drains The kettle leaked all the water, I had to get it changed, the swipe card kept clearing and we had to go to reception a few times, after not being able to get in. Nothing was open I.e bar, restaurant etc and we were not told of this until the day before

Stayed one night got money back next morning after they couldn’t move us to a room that was value for money

We didn’t like it at all it was dirty outdated asked for a different room that equates to to £100 a night they offered us one two floors lower that was the same

We love this hotel and all the staff !!

Spacious and well equipped 1Bedroom Seaview room with large balcony. It had a small kitchen and loved having the refrigerator to put my water bottles and other food items (makes a difference in a holiday) . Good size bathroom and storage for personal items. Location is the best ! Right on the La Carihuela and beach. Easy access from the hotel grounds through a gate. You can rent palapa and lounge chairs for only $8 Euros a day..thought that was a great price. The hotel grounds are nicest of all the resorts on the strip. Nice pool, basketball court, pilates and yoga station (newly built), kid's club, billard tables and arcade games available in-door area and exercice room . Enjoyed the evening shows and the newly added daytime signer performers . Really liked that. All the staff across the board are #1 || Already planning our next stay !!

I think (and would not be surprised if this was already being looked at) changing out the old white plastic lounge chairs. The hotel has in the last year being refreshing public areas on the property so maybe in the works. Would love to see in shower a holder for shampoo bottles etc (but they do have their own shampoo/conditioner in the shower) and hooks on wall to hang clothes, robe etc.

lovely stay on the seafront , fab value for money

The staff at the pool ,pool bar and breakfast were excellent .Breakfast was a good selection of pastries , breads , hot food and cold meats , cereals /fruits etc.... entertainment at the pool really good .Plenty of Sunbeds in lots of relaxing locations not all packed together, The bedroom was very tired but clean , great spare towels under the sink , excellent housekeeping and fab sea views. great value for money and great location

-smell in room 2719, air-con or damp related. -signs still showing the old name Sol Timor..if you rebrand do it well don't leave the sign with Timor above main entrance. -requested towels through phone, after one hour I called again they didn't know about my request anymore.

The location is excellent, the pool was nice with live entertainment, and the staff were very friendly. HOWEVER - We couldn't check in until after 5pm. When we arrived at our room (no.2908), the smell was unpleasant, resembling burnt food, reviews suggest this is an ongoing problem. One of the kitchenette sockets was loose, and the woodwork was chipped. There was water damage at the bottom of the shower outside, making it look untidy. Given that this is a Melia hotel, I was very disappointed. My husband and I usually stay at Ocean House next door, which is pricier but offers better quality. My friend and I only stayed for three nights, so we didn't complain or mention these issues. Drinks at the bar are expensive, so we bought ours from the onsite shop. I would not return to this hotel.

Dissatisfied as we never complain .

Unfortunately we were on 9 th floor with a lateral studio view. We couldn’t put on air conditioning as there was a putrid smell coming from fan when we put it on. We told management when we were leaving. I’m going twice a yr for over 20 yrs and thought it was expensive. We paid €1038 in September and €476 in May which was a studio with a sea view. Were pensioners and we love the Sol timor for yrs. but wasn’t value for money bathroom door very noisy to close.

Proximity to marina and beach-ideal for my mother and mother-in-law who have stayed in Torremolinos town but disliked the walk down to beach at that end

Aircon unit not functioning. Technician looked at it different times but still was not working in one bedroom. There was a foul odour from it (similar to hair remover cream) Did not sleep well given that the temp outside was in 30s and we had little cool air. We stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago with our children and had a great holiday so were very disappointed to have thus experience.

Very good family friendly resort. Excellent location. Brilliant entertainment and family fun activities in the day around the pool. Staff are brilliant especially Pablo who brought a great energy everyday.

The beds unfortunately are beyond uncomfortable, couldn’t get a good nights sleep woke up constantly stiff and sore. Not fussy about a bed but these were like sleeping on concrete. Also a lot of noise and disturbance throughout the night seemed to always be loud work and things happening very late or early hours of the morning. Such a shame because everything else was wonderful.

Highly recommend!

This hotel is local to all amenities. A short walk to the town. The staff were so friendly and kind. The electricity went on the island during our stay - the staff were quick to let everyone know what was going on and kept us up to date through out the day, keeping everyone calm. The rooms, pool area , everywhere was kept clean at all times. Would definitely recommend.

Breakfast room is way too loud as it magnifies themany conversations and sounds. Facility is getting old and needs total renovation. Happy hour is limited to few options, why on earth not keep it as it was (Was there 25 years ago) where it was two for one on all drinks? Surely there was more sold back then.
