It was a very immersive experience for visiting Matera. The interior design and decoration was very thoughtfully done, with good taste and measure; kept a bit raw, as it should for such a unique and atmospheric place. Nevertheless it has all you could want in terms of comfort.
Francesco, the host, is very knowledgeable about the city and a real help in discovering its hidden gems. He was very kind and welcoming which made the entire experience complete. I would like to thank you again for that! Definitely looking forward to seeing you again since we will surely come back soon.

Wonderful experience to stay in a cave room! Stayed in the Superior Suite/Euterpe room. The hosts were very welcoming and were very communicative. The location was perfect. Matera and the Aque Cave was magical!!

Short walk to town, friendly host
Staying in a cave is ok 1 night for novelty but room is not functional or comfortable. Dark room (cave, no windows), lacking furniture to put suitcases or set or hang things. Literally lived out of suitcases on the floor for 3 nights. Unless the weather is nice (3 nights of bad weather (cannot blame anyone!) for us you cannot enjoy any outdoor space here) breakfast is indoors. We were visiting late March. Matera can be enjoyed fully within 2 nights.
