The location was fantastic, right in the middle! We loved our cave room, it was massive and even had a lounge/movie theatre complete with DVDs to watch movies filmed in Matera! A stocked mini bar with nice wine and prosecco with good prices. Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful!
Nothing to dislike! Just know there really is no window other than the door if u open the shutter but it is a cave! We loved it!

What an amazing place! This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was fantastic and the spa was extremely relaxing.

Big room and spare lounge which we did not use The sassy is an awesome place and staying in a cave is an experience Staff were helpful and informative Great exercise going up and down stairs in the old town. Saw where James Bond did the filming.
Difficult to find the hotel as it is inside the Sassy.
Taxi dropped off at a piazza. No concierge to help with suitcases as we had to find and walked down steep stairs (approx 90). Left my husband with suitcases and looked for hotel. Not suitable for young kids and older people. There are more such hotels that are accessible by taxi.

Room with terrace spacious and bright. Powerful shower which was lovely. Location good.
Bed very soft and mattress thin. Bed squeak when turning. Pillows soft with no support.
