The apartment is located in my favorite part of Sassi, which is the Caveoso area, because of the more cave like interiors of the houses.
It is nicely and tasteful decorated.
The owner, who we never met, is sending constantly messages for you to enjoy your stay and to have a nice day. Send suggestions. although easy to find, because the busiest spot of all, so no secrets revealed.
There are so many messages, he surely copy paste from one to the next. But you don’t even see his face on his WhatsApp account, which is pity.
To get to the apartment with heavy luggage is a nightmare, makes you doubt any decision to com to Matera. I would have been more than happy to have payed for a pickup service, if I would have had any idea. The owner could have told us, that it is possible to drive in to the closest point to let your family members or partner out with the luggage and then leave again, you are just not allowed to park there without a permission. When we left, my husband drove in to pick us up!!! Could have made life easier knowing this from the start.
To advertise that Breakfast is included is misleading and incorrect!!!
There are a bunch of store bought cakes and sweets there when you arrive, which are not meant to be as a welcome, but part of this strange breakfast concept. There is no fresh breakfast served every morning! No fresh bread, no cheese, no charcuterie, no eggs, no fresh tomato or any salad! So don’t expect any of this!
You don’t even meet anyone in person.

The property was very clean and offered a beautiful view of the historic town. The location was incredibly romantic, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
We had a wonderful experience because the accommodation was spotless and ideally located. The romantic views of the historic town made our time there truly special.
