Clean and excellent position

Nice and big rooms, everithing was very clean and comfortable. Balconies with amazing view! Very good location. Good breakfast. Maria Luisa was very kind and helpful, she send us all the information we need for our stay-parkings, restaurants, historical sights to see. You can leave your luggage there before check in and after check out. We recommend Slow living !!!

Easy to find, with free parking a 10 minute walk away. Within the pedestrianised central part of Matera, but quiet and with classic views from the bedrooms.

Although the rooms were clean the place felt a bit grubby, more like a hostel than the many other B&Bs we have stayed in in Italy. Bags of blankets stuffed on top of wardrobes, cheap furniture. Lacking a personal touch, which was most evident in the absence of any staff apart from a lady who set out a very basic breakfast in the morning. The staff member who contacted me about check-in informed me on the day of arrival that she couldn’t meet us at the appointed time after all. She demanded photos of passports for all four guests to be sent by text (I refused until she she conceded a secure link could be sent via Booking.com), and she hassled me for payment that evening whilst we were having dinner.
