This is a beautifully restored, historic building. Our host was just lovely, the breakfast was amazing. It was clean and in a great location with views of the castle and on the mosel river. Could not fault this hotel. The local wine and schnapps available at the hotel were so lovely too!

Beautiful house with great staff

Beautiful old house with generous rooms. Excellent breakfast with view over Mosel. Honesty bar works great and has plenty of choices. Service staff is super friendly and helpful! We stayed with a 6months old baby and had a travel cot in the room, high chair for breakfast and felt very welcomed!

Not an issue for us, but be aware that the beautiful renovated old house comes with wood flooring that makes a lot of noise, so you can hear others walking the stairs / in the rooms above. City center is a 10 min walk away along a street, not an issue but be aware for dinner/lunch that it’s a 10 min walk. Memory foam mattress did not work for me, I did not enjoy the effect - but that is a very personal feedback.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff extremely helpful. Our room had a wonderful view, we enjoyed how trustworthy and accommodating the hotel staff was and would return without hesitation.

It can be a bit loud as the floor creaks, but it’s an old building so it’s to be expected.

Perfect location for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful and historic. Located in a quiet area within walking distance of downtown Cochem. Exceptional views of the Moselle and Reichsburg. The staff were fantastic and helpful as well.

Spectacular views, good location, beautiful clean property & friendly staff!

Beautiful property with amazing views. Junior suite had a lot of space and a nice sitting room. Quick walk to town.

We had our bedroom window open and unfortunately there was outside sitting area and when we were sleeping people talking was very loud in our room and they were smoking (as nonsmokers) the smell is awful and it filled our room.

Lovely stay and great breakfast on beautiful historic property!

We loved everything about the property! The building, staff, and atmosphere were lovely, warm, and inviting. Great lounge and porch to meet other guests. Honor system to help yourself to wine, liquors, water, snacks, etc. Location, views, cleanliness excellent! Very nice breakfast offered for additional charge.

The only thing I personally didn’t care for was the bedding. I understand why they choose a down alternative and I’m not sure what the fabric is but I like down and cotton. There is no lift which I understand is not possible but travelers should know and be prepared for.

Wonderful dog-friendly place & excellent staff

What a wonderful place! Exceptionally welcoming and very relaxing. The reception staff was fantastic: friendly, helpful and always professional. The rooms were very comfortable, very clean, housekeeping is suberb. The breakfast was delicious, and we really appreciated how dog-friendly it was. (Oops, we accidentally took the keys with us, so sorry again, but we fixed it by sending them back through the postal service). We would love to come back one day xx

Great stay in Cochem

Fabulous room, double aspect, with views of the castle on the hill and the river winding past. Lovely staff. Breakfast was extensive and varied with plenty of choice. Very pleasant terrace to sit on, overlooking the river, while quaffing a glass of wine. Short walk along the promenade into Cochem. We particularly enjoyed the Weingarten next door (nothing to do with the hotel), after a day's sightseeing. Car parking reserved for the hotel just by the entrance.

Fantastic welcome to the hotel. Extremely helpful and warm lady in the reception. Beautiful spacious rooms. It was an extra bonus that we could taste and buy wine directly at the hotel. Close to everything.

A beautiful, rustic hotel with an ideal location just outside the touristic bustle of Cochem

The hotel is really well located just outside of touristic Cochem — close enough to walk there easily. The hotel has a lot of charm and has a great breakfast and a really nice honor bar. The views from the hotel are gorgeous!

My only complaint was that there was a lot of noise from the hallway and other rooms. The hotel allows children and pets, which I love. But it sounded like a daycare center/kindergarten at times. If you want a more serene stay, this may not be the ideal spot. But I loved the hotel. They even installed more sound-proof doors inside the original wooden doors to help with this issue.

Great stay in a beautiful setting

Beautiful view. Some lovely games in the main lounge area for guests to use. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the river from the hotel towards the Cochem old town. The friendly receptionist gave us suggestions for restaurants. Excellent breakfast.

We have had an impeccable stay at Hotel Villa Vie Cochem. The hotel is inside a beautiful building only 10 mins walking from the center of Cochem through their promenade. The room was super clean and the staff was very friendly. They accommodated our baby’s needs and really made us feel at home.

Very comfortable rooms with great breakfast

From the hotel it is an easy walk to the center of Cochem. We had an amazing view on the castle as well as the river. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and all very tasty. There was also a honesty bar, which was perfect to have a drink after dinner.

The hotel is located next to a main road, which we could hear a bit in the morning (it was a weekday). Overall it didn't bother us and didn't keep us from having a great sleep.

Friendly staff and amazing breakfast, but the room lacked privacy.

The staff were really friendly, and the breakfast was amazing as well. They also upgraded my room to a suite—a spacious room.

The bedroom had windows all around that couldn’t be fully closed, so it felt like privacy was not really maintained.

An unforgettable visit to Cochem

Wonderful hotel with breathtaking views over the castle and river. The personnel was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the receptionist to the cleaning ladies. This is a family friendly hotel, with a great breakfast and private parking, just a few minutes walk from the city. The wine selection at the honesty bar was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this region.
