Overall, a great stay.

We stayed for one night and were very pleased overall. The highlight was definitely the breakfast — it was absolutely excellent, with a great variety of options. Dinner was decent and satisfying, nothing extraordinary, but perfectly fine after a long day eliminating necessity to look around for other place. The location is fantastic. The room itself was clean, cozy, warm, and wonderfully quiet — exactly what you need for a good night's rest. The staff were attentive and friendly, and kindly allowed us to check in earlier than the official check-in time, which we really appreciated.

One small note: the mattress is too soft, which some guests may love, but if you prefer firmer support, it might not be for everyone.

The staff was very accommodating,David is a professional who will do his best to make your stay perfect. The food is to an extremely high standard, the chocolate pudding was to die for. I 100% recommend and will come again myself.

Very friendly staff; they called me to discuss my (late) arrival and kept waiting for me. Even offered help with the luggage Typical traditional German hotel, which is fine. But very nicely modernised room, with very comfortable bed and a good shower. Very quiet location next to a very nice park. Good private parking space.

Nothing about the hotel; The small Kuhrort has seen more glorious days and is still very quiet, or should I say boring, at the beginning of July. Seniors will like it, but after 21:00 there wasn’t any restaurant or even a proper café open on Monday. However one notices the substantial effort of the municipality to bring the place back to life in a more modern way. The surroundings, the parks and very clean air however were enjoyable for a good walking tour.

The restaurant closed early for food orders and at 21h00 we only had the option of ordering flamkoeke, but it seems to be a general thing in the entire town/ village that restaurant kitchens close early. In future it may be a good idea to tell guests by what time the food orders will stop so they can plan accordingly. I actually asked the afternoon at what time the kitchen closes and I was told that it closes late, but no specific time was given.

Very good

BF was fantastic - very flexible and supported by very attentive personel. Dog was super happy with the garden and easy access to it. Restaurant was also very nice with good selection of wines.

Some confusions over my booking in their system that they could not find at the time of arrival. Otherwise nothing that I did not like!

I was hesitating when booking as I have seen that the hotel has avarage rate of 7,9. I am nicely surprised that this is much better hotel. The room was pleasant and spacious, similarly the balcony. It's very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable, the bedclothes had pleasant touch. The hotel neighbours very nice park. And it's just a couple of minutes from the mineral water source and the thermes. The town is very calm, quite and picturesque.

I would suggest to offer also vegetables and fruits for breakfast.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful entrance lobby, and very quiet location, next to the parc, at the edge of this small village. We did acctually did not spend much time in the hotel, to be honest, we were out and about walking in the beautiful nature and relaxing in the spa. Room was clean and simple.

It seems, a new owner has made a fresh start and is on the way to overhaul the premises. Our room still had single glazing, but I am sure it will be done up soon.

Good

Just outside of central Bad Bertrich in a quit surrounding lies Alte Muhle. Our room was spacious with a balcony. The equipment was sober. Water was provided but no coffee and thee making facilities or safe was available. Breakfast was included and offered a good choice.

Most obvious was the noisiness of the rooms. Walls give the impression they are paper thin and you can hear the shower of the neighbour on the side or the walking from above.

Alles eigentlich gut, aber es bleibt ein ungutes Gefühl wegen der fehlenden Quittungsbelege.

Frühstück war formidabel und spitzenmäßig, alles vorhanden! Abendessen war außergewöhnlich, auf der Speisekarte schwer zuzuordnen, aber nach Erklärung durch den Gastwirt in Ausführung sehr lecker und perfekt. Alles perfekt und frisch zubereitet. Absolute Empfehlung!

Bei der Ankunft wurde die Kurtaxe in Höhe von 4,40 EUR erhoben und in bar kassiert. Trotz Bitte bekam ich darüber keinen Quittungsbeleg. Auch über das Abendessen für zwei Personen in Höhe von rund 82 EUR bekam ich nur den Ausdruck über die Bezahlung per VISA. Am Abreisetag wurde mir erklärt, dass alles mit der Rechnung für das Zimmer per Mail an mich versandt würde. Ich bin gespannt, ob das auch so erfolgen wird. Diese Art der Abwicklung ist zumindest ungewöhnlich.

Sehr schönes Wochenende

Die ruhige Lage ist klasse. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Zimmer sind schön und das Bett war sehr komfortabel auch die Decke. Wir haben wunderbar geschlafen. Das Abendessen im Restaurant hat uns auch sehr zugesagt. Man ist schnell zu Fuß im Ort mit netten Lokalen und einer tollen kultigen Raucherkneipe Mosel Stübchen.

Frühstück erst ab 8:00 Uhr. Könnte besser schon ab 07:00 Uhr sein. Im Restaurant kein Bier vom Fass. Aber das ist Kritik auf hohen Niveau. Insgesamt gibt es kaum was auszusetzen.

Eine echt trostlose Umgebung wo ca 80% aller Gastronomie geschlossen ist...! 24/7 Regen. Ein Zimmer ohne Kaffeemaschine & Küchenzeile... Beim Abendessen gibt es 2 Gerichte zur Auswahl die in etwa so groß sind, daß ein Kind davon satt werden kann.

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung

Das Zimmer war sehr groß und geräumig. Die Lage ist ideal um die Therme zu besuchen oder um zu wandern. Kostenlose Parkplätze. Personal ist freundlich.

Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen (altes Möbel); sehr rustikal. Wir hatten die Sauna reserviert. Sehr ärgerlich, dass sie vergessen wurde anzumachen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Sehr hellhörige Räume.

es war unproblematisch, einen Hund mitzunehmen. Das angestellte Personal war freundlich.

Insgesamt können wir die vielen doch recht guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Leider haben wir die immer wieder vorhandenen sehr kritischen Bewertungen ignoriert. Bei telefonischer Rücksprache vorab erreicht man nur ein Call-Center, dass die örtlichen Gegebenheiten nicht kennt. Die hausinterne Video-Überwachung ist in der vorgefundenen Form mit der Datenschutzgrundverordnung in keiner Weise vereinbart. Ja, das Hotel ist teilrenoviert, aber gewisse Dinge sind nicht akzeptabel: Die Betten sind nicht weich, sondern komplett durchgelegen. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist wahllos aus zum Teil völlig abgenutzten Möbeln zusammengestellt.Das Badezimmer nur oberfächlich gesäubert und nicht in Stand gehalten: Klebriges Dreck an der Heizung für Handtücher, defekter Siphon und kaputte Toiletten-Halterung, angerostete Duschabtrennung etc. Auf dem Zimmer hatten wir kein WLAN. Einziger Kommentar des Geschäftsführers: "da kann ich jetzt auch nichts dran machen". Der Frühstücksraum hatte eher den Charakter eines Wartesaales. Fehlendes Parkett war durch blanken Beton ersetzt worden. Sehr unangenehm empfanden wir, dass der Geschäftsführer im Beisein von Hotelgästen über andere Hotelgäste gelästert und sich lustig gemacht hatte.

Die gute alte Zeit geniessen

Beim Check-In an der Rezeption sieht man gleich, dass der Name "Alte Mühle" zugeich Programm ist. Das ganze Gebäude strahlt das Flair der guten alten 70er aus (meine ich durchweg positiv), geschlungene Treppe, Marmor-Look, Kronleuchter, alles wunderbar. Unser Zimmer genauso: Parkett, sehr viel Platz, riesiger Eichenschrank, dazu Flachbild-TV mit Sitzecke und Wasser. Gute Betten, funktionales Bad auf der Höhe der Zeit. Und vor allem: Totale Ruhe.

Störend war, dass das Housekeeping bis 16:30 gebraucht hat, um aufzutauchen. Um diese Zeit hatten wir schon das "bitte nicht stören"-Schild aufgehängt, und siehe da, es wurde TROTZDEM angeklopft. Sowas ist ärgerlich und absolut vermeidbar. Das Hotel-eigene Restaurant machte uns neugierig (lokal und frisch, nur mit Reservierung), also haben wir uns das angeschaut. Beispiel: Als Vorspeise kommt Weissbrot mit Tomatenaufstrich, die Brotscheiben sind jedoch mit Balsamicopaste übergossen. Warum? Fragt man sich da. Die Vorspeisen, japanischer Pfannkuchen sowie eine deftige Kartoffelsuppe, waren an sich gut, jedoch der "Pfannkuchen" ebenfalls wieder übergossen, diesmal Balsamico und Mayonnaise. Auch hier: Warum tut man das? Die Hauptspeisen (Pasta/Meeresfrüchte, Steak/Gemüse) waren komplett ungewürzt, wir haben uns Salz/Pfefferstreuer kommen lassen. Die sahen dann aus wie aus dem 1€-Shop und passten nicht ganz so ins Fine-Dining-Ambiente. Unterm Strich würden wir nicht mehr hingehen, Preis und Leistung passen (noch) nicht zusammen.

Tolles Hotel……toller Service

ich war mit einer körperlichen und geistig eingeschränkten Verwandten im Hotel Alte Mühle und habe noch nirgendwo mit ihr so einen aufmerksamen und hilfreichen Service erlebt wie hier. Da es in Bad Bertrich kein Taxiunternehmen gibt wurde extra für uns eine Fahrgelegenheit in ein Restaurant organisiert. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig……das Bett war sehr bequem……und zum Park raus auch sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und reichhaltig und wurde auch immer wieder aufgefüllt. Es gab eine große Kaffeeauswahl und der Kaffee war sehr gut. Der Service kam sogar an unseren Tisch und fragte, ob die Küche noch etwas für uns zubereiten könnte. Das habe ich noch in keinem Hotel erlebt Das Hotel und unser Zimmer waren picobello sauber, incl. der öffentlichen Toiletten.

Ein tolles Wochenende in einem tollen Hotel!

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt in einem wundervollen Hotel. Das zuvorkommende Personal sorgt schon bei der Ankunft dafür, dass man sich wohl fühlt und gerne bleibt. Das Restaurant ist das Sahnehäubchen, eine Klasse für sich! Tolle Auswahl, erstklassige Zubereitung, das werde ich so schnell nicht vergessen.

Ich kann nichts Negatives sagen, ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
