I would go back to this town just to stay at this hotel again!

Nice staff, great location, great assortment for breakfast. The restaurant inside the hotel is really nice too. The room had a spectacular balcony, with a side view to the Moselle
Sound insulation is not that great, but this isn't a huge deal. Some unpleasant odour remained after using the toilet, so maybe there was a small issue with the sewer in our room? Still, also not a big deal

Functional hotel very close to the town centre. Paid extra for a private garage - which was well worth it. Very good breakfast (better than expected) and well-equipped room. Was not cheap, but we did book a stay over a bank holiday. No lift, which could be an issue for some on higher floors. We chose to eat our evening meal here on one occasion. The food was good.

The hotel is situated in a fabulous location and if your room benefits from a river view you won’t be disappointed.
We opted to to pay extra for the ‘deluxe’ suite and whilst a very large room, a few fancy fixtures and fittings, a large comfortable bed and more cupboard space than IKEA made it look ‘deluxe’, that’s where it ended.
The hotel functions more like a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel with a restaurant. With the exception of checking in we did not see anyone at reception for our entire stay. You had to go to the restaurant to find anyone.
The ‘deluxe’ suite is basically a converted loft space, so if you are slightly above average height you will at some point hit your head. Getting in and out of the bath is a challenge.
Natural light is minimal as you only have two skylight windows at the back (one in the bathroom) and a door at the front leading to the balcony. So you basically need the lights on if you’re to see anything in the wardrobe or in the bathroom.
Being in the loft the room was extremely hot and there is no airco. The only ventilation is to open all the windows and door and then use the cheap noisy fan provided.
The hotel was very careful not to actually show photographs of the balcony in the deluxe suite and for good reason. Rooms on the lower floors to the front have larger balconies. Being a loft room you get a small balcony which you can just fit two people on and there is absolutely no cover. Impossible to sit out for any length of time during the day as you’re in direct sun.
The ‘deluxe’ experience also did not include anything other than the basics you’d expect.
The room had a nespresso type coffee machine with one coffee each provided.
On the second day we asked for some more coffee as we assumed the room service had forgotten to provide more.
We were told that the coffee is only complimentary on day of arrival! So, if you are there for multiple days you will only get one coffee despite paying for more than one day. So if you want more than one coffee in your room, bring your own.

Hotel am Hafen was in a great location just across the bridge, with light traffic making it easily accessible. The view of the castle and river made sitting on the balcony a lovely experience. The room was clean and spacious, though the bathroom was a bit tight. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options. While we didn’t have dinner at the hotel, we noticed many people crossing the bridge to dine there. The staff were friendly and welcoming at check-in.
What we didn’t like: the bathroom space was tight, and no shampoo was provided. Also, be warned that things in the area tend to close relatively early, so plan accordingly

The view is just great! The breafast is average. It happens often that there is no-one at the Reception.
but the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is free.
The breakfast was average and can be improved. I wanted a cappuccino, it cost separate 2,5 euro
We checked in at Easter time, so we didn't get a usual explanation about breakfast time, wifi code etc. I think more staff shoud be hired for peak time.

We chose a room with a balcony over looking the Mosel. It was excellent!! Just a short walk into town over the bridge
The rooms are quite small.

The room and view were amazing! We loved the balcony and would definitely recommend the suite. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the patio to relax and enjoy the view. On top of that, the bed was sooo comfortable! There is no air conditioning but you really don’t need it due to the openness, ventilation, and breeze that come through.
We were really disappointed that we were only allocated four total pods of coffee for our entire stay. When someone pays for a suite (or any room) they should have access to coffee without paying. This is the first hotel where I’ve ever experienced this and I travel quite frequently.

The location was great, Right on the river. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good.
I thought I paid for a River view with Castle view. We were in the back of the hotel and had to strain to get a view of river. Unfortunately this set the tone and then I was unhappy with the hotel. My expectations were set too high and then I was disappointed. We did not have a view of the castle which is why I paid more to stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location; walkable to everything and if I would have had the room I thought I paid for would have had a magnificent view of the river to include the castle.

Deluxe room was spacious, modern and well maintained. The air conditioning was appreciated. Cochem town centre and its main attractions were only a short walk from the hotel.
We only had a partial view of the river, when the photos and advertising led us to believe the room had an unobscured river view. Outside parking options were limited over the holiday weekend, necessitating additional and unexpected expense to reserve a garage space. The evening menu in the hotel restaurant didn't represent good value for money.

Good size bedroom and bathroom and lovely view of the Mosel River, town and castle. Restaurant food very good and staff helpful - enjoyed our stay and ideally located to explore the Mosel Valley with the added benefits of being in Cochem.
Very limited parking at hotel 4 spaces in hotel car park and 3 spaces on the road outside of hotel. We had to park off site in a car park for a couple of nights. Not much the hotel can do about this, as other hotels have a similar problem.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the beautiful views of the Mosel river.
The be was very comfortable, it was nice having a separate living area from the bedroom. A nice breakfast in the morning.
We didn't like the fact there was a glass door into the toilet from the bedroom. A real lack of privacy. We were signed in by a very nice young man but the ladies at breakfast were not very welcoming.

great room, loved mechanized window shutters, good bike storage, good AC
spotty wifi, breakfast only starts at 0800 (but good), only one card-key for room possible, must prepay at checkin unusual - all explained by unhappy receptionist

we had a large room on the top floor which had a huge amount of storage. Bathroom was enormous even for American standards. Great view of the city and the river from our room.
About a 15 minute walk from the train station.
Easy walk across the bridge to the main town.
The lady in charge of breakfast was awesome. In addition to making sure that everything was replenished she also personally meet us at to go breakfast for her last morning when we had an early train. She had it ready exactly when she said she wouldn’t have it waiting for us when we left. Thank you for your wonderful service
we had a nice little balcony outside her room but we didn’t use it much because our neighbors were also on their balcony and smoking. very unpleasant.
The front desk is not manned 24/7 and we weren’t able to get hold of anyone one evening when we had a problem. no one answered the phone.

No elevators at the hotel. My room was on top floor. Got excellent views. Loved it. Going up and and down the stairs was hard especially with the luggage

Large room with very comfortable sofa and bed. Large, clean bathroom and a working refrigerator. View of the Mosel from the balcony was spectacular.

The hotel is located just around the corner of the city center, has a very beautiful view over the river and the ambiance in the hotel is nice. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious. The staf is nice and kind. We stayed in room 14 which is a very good room with an amazing view.
The hotel does have a private parking, but just for 5 or 6 cars. So we had to park on the street. For a deposit of €10 you can get a parking ticket (at the reception) to put in your car. This way you don't have to fill the parking meter every time. Parking is cheap, €0.20 per hour.

We booked the junior suite with a balcony which had a view of the river Mosel. From the pictures uploaded online, it looked as if the bedroom also has the view of the Mosel. But only our living room had a view of the Mosel. Nevertheless we loved our stay.
Great location, beautiful view. Tasty breakfast buffet with a beautiful view. The patio was fully protected, so one could have their breakfast at the patio even if the weather conditions were not good. They had a fan in our room, to escape the heat.
They could have provided blankets that could be used for the balcony.
They could have provided toothpaste and a few more coffee capsules.
Not sound proof rooms

Very good location on the river bank next to the bridge and with the view of Cochem castle. Restaurant which was part of the hotel served very good food. We also appreciated possibility to rent garage next to the hotel (10€ extra charge per day).
There is a room for the improvement of cleanliness. Also the room we had looked bit of outdated...

They double charged me for our stay. Charged my credit card the same amount on two different days. I've contacted them on several occasions and they still have not refunded my money.

The view and breakfast were excellent! Breakfast was more than we expected. Location of nhe hotel is so good, you can walk to the centre.
We did not like the soft pillows on the bed. Also, the room has not been vacuumed during our stay. The shower faucet is leaking and every time we took a shower we have to mop the floor.
