The location was amazing.
The staff was efficient but our group wanted to share a bottle we bought on a winery tour and we were told we could not. We drank and ate several times in the restaurant but they would not accommodate a bottle purchased elsewhere.

Great central location - just at river promenade and close to old town and castle. Very helpful staff during supporting us at late check in and problems with parking. Great wine bar downstair very popular at the town. Good breakfast and friendly service.
There is no elevator but it was clearly marked during booking - so no reason to complain about. It would be great if in the room small fridge (mini-bar) could be added. The rest was great !

Great location, very friendly staff despite the fact that no one spoke English. Great breakfast.

Great building and a safe place for my bicycle. Views of the river!
It can get a bit noisy because of the bar downstairs.

After 20 days traveling in Germany, one thing is clear: accommodation in Cochem is expensive, and this hotel is no different. The room has a nice river view, is spacious, and the shower is good. But my kids had to sleep on a noisy sofa bed, and the blackout curtains don’t really block the light. Breakfast is good and served from 8:00 to 10:00, but after 9:00 there are no refills of things like fruit, sausages, or pastries (at least during the three nights I stayed). Not worth the price they charge.

Perfect location for seeing the Rathaus, Marktplatz, Friedhof, Kirche, and even the Castle. Staff was very friendly, even as I struggled using my German (I am American). The wine from the hotel was also excellent and a good price.
I was surprised they had a small wall mounted AC unit (if you’re from western US, it’s more like a swamp fan), but the room stayed warm until sundown. If you are American and not used to no central AC, just be aware.

Breakfast typical processed meats cheese bread yogurt yogurt fruit. Location on river but loud with party boats. Small town better value on opposite side of river. The check in confusing because it was the same as the bar. No help offered up the 82 steps to our room, there is no elevator. The breakfast was 68 steps each way. The city is dirty with trash and cigarette buts. Shopping is blah. The castle is good. Bicycle riding along opposite side of the river is good. I would not recommend this place. Go to Rothenberg an du Tauber instead.
Hospitality. Clean up the trash in town

Location was amazing, right in the middle of everything. Room was spacious, great view. Breakfast was great, sufficient.
Beds were never made (in 3 night stay), no clean towels and they didn't answer the phone when we were frantically trying to reach them to warn that we would be arriving slightly later than 18:00. Cheese platter was highly priced and of poor, and old quality. No special cheeses, very generic...however wine was great!

The location were very strategic, room very spacious and breakfast also very good.
The only inconvenience is there is no lift/ elevator , we stayed at the 3rd floor and little bit difficult with our suitcase.
Its not reccomended for older people😉
No lift / elevator so its difficult with our suitcase

Loved the spacious bedrooms and bathroom. The location is perfect and our room had a window overlooking the river.
No elevator and no hotel parking. Parking was manageable, but we had to wake up @ 8am to pay again for parking. The lot closest to the hotel only allows you to pay for 3 hours at a time during the day (overnight is free and the car can stay all night).

The room is big and very comfortable, it is silent, good bed. There are no lifts, so we had to climb 4 floors on stairs. It is not easy. The breakfast is very good.
No lifts and no frigo inside the room.

Cosy small hotel in the best location of the town. Not 5 start but good value for the money. Very good breakfast served on the second floor beautiful restaurant/terrace.
Maybe some extra staff would make things better during the busy tourist season?

The room was very nice and clean, good breakfast, great location in centrum of the city.

We loved the location and size our accommodations. Each bed had multiple pillows (not a common find in Europe from my experience) The breakfast buffet had many options to choose from and my children loved the hot chocolate that was offered to them.
The only negatives I found were that we were on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. This normally is not a problem for us, but my husband is still recovering from a broken ankle and it was hard on him going up and down the spiral stairs every day. This probably could have been avoided had I asked about an elevator prior to booking and maybe asked for a room closer to the bottom floor.
The other negative was that the jets in the tub did not work. My kids were a little disappointed.
Other than that, we highly recommend the Beim Weinbauer! Very comfortable stay.

First of all, the breakfast is awesome :) Why breakfast? cause we tried different restaurants in Cochem and unfortunately we didnt like a single one of them. the food is very normal. so think of it as only pleasant meal of your day.
the beds were comfy and room was clean. the location is awesome and if you are lucky you will get a stunning view from your room.
I was expecting to get the Wifi password while I am checking in so I didn't need to talk gibberish instead of German to the hotel clerk :)

Room and Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent. No complaints at all. A very good variety. Checkin and checkout was smooth. We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. Location is spot on for Cochem. Their wine restaurant downstairs is also pleasant. A wonderful stay.

The location is great! The riverside and the other side(old town) are beautiful views. However, we were a bit confused about the entrance, because there was no sight of the hotel. Though it was the same as the restaurant.
Breakfast was nice, also we found local grape juice and jam!
we were staying on the 2nd floor, but wifi access was terrible. In my opinion, they should take away wifi, because people expect that wifi is useable.

Hotel on main road overlooking the river, easy to find and close to the centre.
Room clean and comfortable, breakfast up to the usual German standard.
Reception very poor, check in on street level in the bar, 2 men behind the bar couldn't have been less helpful if they tried, obviously not interested in the Hotel above. Had to wait then the keys just handed over with no further welcome/explanation on how to get up to the Hotel etc.

Breakfast more than sufficient. Large living/sleeping area. Very good shower room . Small air conditioning fan. Great view over River Moesel. Excellent for centre
No lift! Strong cooking smells from kitchen. No parking facilities. Could never get a seat in restaurant or a seat to have a drink ( NOT because of Corona ) .
. Staff weren't particularly helpful except for breakfast room staff.
