Beautiful and classy hotel but extremely rude staff
Beautiful property, nice spa area, very good food at the restaurant.
The woman in charge of the restaurant extremely and unnecessarily rude. She literally screamed and banged her fist on the table when my girlfriend and I told her we didn’t want to participate to the Saint Valentine’s quiz they had organized for the guests during the dinner, as this was optional and we wanted to have our romantic time for dinner. The price for a one night stay with half board included didn’t come cheap at all, so I cannot tolerate such a type of behavior, especially as I am a paying customer and I booked this 4-star superior hotel for a romantic time with my girlfriend, and definitely not to be shouted against. The same woman screamed to another young waitress the morning after during the breakfast (the young waitress seemed visibly shocked after the episode) and responded in an extremely rude way to another guest, who simply asked her a question in English, by responding “no” with a very harsh tone to a very simple request, and in front of all other guests in the breakfast hall. The face of the guest was truly shocked after the episode. This is a very unacceptable behavior and the hotel, which is really classe and respectable, should do something about it.

Breakfast was good. Dinner was OK. Well maintained old Kur hotel.
We had to park quite a ways from the hotel at public parking and walk back to the hotel. Fortunately the weather was pretty good.

Great Hotel but big problem with restaurants in this town!
Location, facilities - hotel is absolutely stunning! Spa area is amazing, good fitness area, and the hotel is very clean and surrounded by green!
At 9:30am on a Sunday there wasn’t much food left at the breakfast! When asking the waitress whether or not the food would be refilled , we got a dry and impolite “no” as a response. Not really the type of treatment you like to receive, especially when you pay €250 for one night! Also, no restaurants open in the entire town for dinner, and the few ones open probably don’t know the meaning of the word “politeness” (again, being polite doesn’t seem to be a thing here!) - we were shouted at each restaurant that there were no tables available , as if it was our fault! - and unreasonable working hours (only 2 restaurants open at 8pm on a Saturday night in a touristic town!!). Not the hotel’s fault, but this spoiled our stay and stressed us out quite much. Probably better to dine at the hotel, even if it’s a bit overpriced!

relaxing stay in a calm hotel
The hotel is not the newest but it is clean and rooms are big, with nice bathrooms and highly comfortable beds. It is located in a nice garden and the restaurant terrace is very pleasant to sit in. The reception staff was very nice and helpful. We had a half board service and both breakfast and dinner were good and variated: dinner always had meat-fish-vegetarian options. The towels for spa are a pleasant service as one does not need to bring their own. The swimming pool is warm, clean and cozy - which we liked when taking a break.
Unfortunately, anything in the hotel spa (but the swimming pool) was closed or out of service and this was not signalled anywhere. We received a 4.40€ discount for the baths/local shops/restaurants instead but found out only once at the baths that the discount is valid only for 3 hours+ permanence. The restaurant service staff was not the best: we had to ask several times for our food, then they told us the kitchen was closing despite we had been waiting for long time, then they noted down our meals as to be paid when they were paid already. I know workforce in hospitality is difficult to be found lately, but some improvement is necessary.
