The apartment was clean, and extremely well appointed. The kitchen had ample glassware, cups, plates and utensils. We used the dishwasher daily and also washed and dried clothes! An added plus with 2 boys!!! The balcony was perfect for cocktails and dinner. There's a COOP for grocery shopping just a 5 min walk. We had dinner at the Schnitzel House one night, and at Simsim another. Both recommended by our hosts. Food was delicious and service great at both locations. This was just perfect. What a fabulous place to stay for a visit in Zurich.

The location on Magdalen Straße was perfect. It was quiet and easy to make our way into town via Bus and Tram. We would stay there again , lots of room for 6 of us ( two kids, 4 adults)

We had a great visit in Switzerland. The apartment was exactly as advertised. It is a 3rd floor walk up and a bit cozy for 5 adults but was very nice. We loved having a light dinner on the balcony after a day of exploring Switzerland. The top floor bedrooms were a bit of an adventure for our 6' 2" son but no problem for our other kids. The washer and dryer are in the basement and as others have said the dryer is not what Americans are used to, but there is a drying rack in the apartment that we used most of the time. The neighborhood is very quiet and not very far from a tram or bus stop. Even the Zurich Oerlikon train station is not an extremely long walk. We had a great visit.

Our family of 5 - Mom and dad and 3 young adult children thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Oerlikon apartment. The apartment is cuter than the photos depict. Lovely terrace looking out at the church, cute breakfast nook, fully equipped kitchen. Just a short walk to transportation. Church bells ringing across the way were lovely. (Some may not see this as a positive, but we did!) We had an issue with the kitchen sink not draining. Communication with the owner was easy, and the results were great. Very pleased with the response time! The whole family was very pleased with the home. Please note: The apartment is on the top floor (3rd floor for Americans), so if you are not able to walk up more than two flights of stairs, take note as there is no elevator. We look forward to renting this apartment again!

Everything was great! Super happy to be close by the Schniztelhaus! The upstairs bedroom only has a accordion style divider between the one room with 2 single beds and the other 2 single bed room. The shower upstairs is VERY tiny. Barely tall enough for any over 5’6. Other than that - everything was great!

We arrived and checked in seamlessly. The location was brilliant and in close proximity to shops, restaurants and public transport. We felt very settled quite quickly. The masionette was a little cold when we first arrived (it could have been that it had not been rented/heated for a few days), but over the duration of our stay, the temperature improved and we were quite comfortable. The owners were responsive to emails. We thoroughy enjoyed our trip to Zuricu.

The location was good for my work at U Zurich, and for getting onto the train system (~15 minute walk either way). Lots of grocery stores nearby to cut down on food costs. Comfortable size for our family of five, watch your head upstairs if you are tall. Church bells do persist until late and start early, but that didn't bother us. We liked that it was close enough to get where we needed to go, but removed enough to avoid noisy crowds. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here in early October 2022 and were completely pleased with the two story apartment! Everything the two of us needed was on one floor which was great. The large upstairs area was a bonus for us and we talked about coming back with friends. There is plenty of room and beds. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the nook area was perfect for relaxing with coffee. The den and dining area are very spacious and we spread out comfortably for our stay. The bathroom had plenty of storage area for incidentals, and the shower had great water pressure and body sprays too! The bedroom was large with a desk I used for a makeup area, and there was more than enough closet space and drawers. It is a very quiet place in a great neighborhood across from a church. The owners suggested restaurants were great! A must-try is the Schnitzelhaus around the corner. It’s a 15 minute tram ride into the city center, and we also used Uber for a short ride as well. The owner was very responsive and we could not have enjoyed the property more. We would definitely stay here again!

The place was very clean and location is about 15-minute drive from the city center. The only thing that one had to take into account is upstairs. The stairs to get to the upper floor is spiral and very tight hance taking up and down suitcases is a slight challenge depending on age and fitness further the upper bathroom shower is suited for kids or people who are not taller then 160 I'm. So that we all used the downstairs shower. Other then that we enjoyed our stay. And although we never physically encountered our landlord the communication with her was very good and fast. If one can accommodate the restrictions of the upstairs I totally this property

We loved our week's stay at the Oerlikon apartment! Our place had everything we needed. It was really well stocked with lots of space. The patio is amazing and we spent a lot of time enjoying the fresh air of Switzerland. The location was close to the tram and we could get around and went everywhere! I would highly recommend this apartment to stay at if you are visiting Zurich!

I host short term vacation rentals, so I have a good idea of what hosts should be doing and what they should provide. This listing is somehow given 5-star ratings. There is just no way. Be warned: Pros: -beautiful Swiss neighborhood situated in front of a beautiful church -physical apartment was clean, but major issues with towels and linens as described below -spacious -lots of beds Cons: -listed and misadvertised as having A/C, however only 1 portable A/C unit on 2nd floor, no A/C on main floor where main bedroom, kitchen, and living room is -with no a/c, apartment was stifling hot sitting in the summer sun. Host took no effort to open windows and allow apartment to cool prior to our arrival -host said they would meet us at property for check-in, and did not show up. Host was unresponsive all night to messages on VRBO to address multiple problems. No phone number was on welcome emails and found out next day phone number was in a folder on a table. -upstairs room with A/C had a bed with just a comforter and pillow, no bed sheets. Host response in middle of night was to take it from another bed which we saw the next morning when waking up, 1 person had to sleep in the hot room with no a/c -terrible mattresses and pillows….very bad quality and very firm. Only 1 pillow per person. -pillow covers had yellow stains on them -towels were like sand paper and only 1 towel per person was provided -no extra bed linens were provided. When asked, host said that only enough bedding for amount of people staying is left. What happens if they need to be changed? In our case, if we had extra bed linens, there would have been less of a issue with stained pillow covers or a bed with missing sheets -fridge barely works and cools -NO ELEVATOR! this is key info the host does not inform you of. If you have a hard time climbing stairs, you must not stay here. There are 5 flights of very steep stairs, getting luggage upstairs was a nightmare. -if you are taller than 6 ft the “upstairs” (more like an attic) where the A/C is is unuseable because of very low ceilings. -15 minute walk to nearest train station

It was also within walking distance to the tram and train station. An easy way to get to downtown Zurich for shopping or sightseeing or a cruise on Lake Zurich. It had the comforts of home! We ended our two week family vacation in Zurich and stayed at this wonderful place. It was just as described and definitely roomy, to fit our party of 6. The location is great and an easy walk to the bus or tram stop that can take you anywhere in Zurich. The owners were great and very accommodating, would recommend this place to anybody visiting Zurich!

It was a lovely home. This is on the top floor so there are a lot of stairs. There is no elevator. The neighborhood is very walkable. The house was very well equipped and welcoming. We had such an amazing time there. There were toys for the kids too.

The apartment was at the top of the building. Three of the bedrooms are on the second floor which requires using a very narrow staircase. It was all doable. The location of the neighborhood is great. It's easy to get to downtown Zurich and destinations beyond. We had a lot of fun there.

„Our family of six was very comfortable staying at this charming residence for a good part of the summer. When we arrived, it looked clean and smelled of lemon. Great apartment for families

This is a very nice property and worked great for our 8 day stay in Zurich. We traveled with 5 younger children and the upper unit (converted attic) was perfect for them while we had privacy on the main floor. The building is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood with lots families around. There is a church right across the street and we enjoyed the charming clock tower. We made ample use of the comfortable balcony for our meals and breaks. There is a Coop grocery store within a few minutes of walk for all basic needs and a larger shopping area with many restaurants close by, all walking distance. The bus and tram stops are very conveniently located and public transportation is impressive in Zurich and in the rest of the country. We rented a minivan for our trip and parking space next to the building was a big plus. Our host was very nice and helpful during our stay. We highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay in Zurich. The apartment was centrally located close the trams, train station, nice restaurants and grocery stores. We were able to walk from the tram with our luggage. Beautiful view of the city from the apartment. A couple of things did concern us. The property details say there was a clothes washer and dryer but they were located in the basement and they are shared with the apartment complex. Also if you are taller that 5’3” the upstairs shower and bathroom could present a problem.

We had a lovely 4day stay, very close to the tram stops for all of Zurich. We thought the church bells would be a problem, but they were not. Very well equipped. The only disadvantage was it is up 3floors with no elevator, and the spiral staircase and second floor bathroom might be a problem if you are tall. Lots of beds upstairs for a family and a lovely balcony and breakfast room. Very clean.
