A restful stay in Zurich

The location can’t be beat. Tram was right outside, close to everything and yet quiet. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the staff (Rebecca, Sean, Alex) for their restaurant recommendations and all their assistance during our stay. Thank you.

Good location and spacious, clean apartment with helpful hosts

The hosts were in contact before our arrival and always replied to our queries immediately. We arrived at the incorrect location but they took us around and explained how things worked in the apartment such as instructions for the washing machine and dryer.

Only negative is the lighting in the main bedroom is very dark. Even when all the lamps were on, it was difficult to see what was in our suitcases and in the wardrobe.

A perfect family stay with excellent location, great kitchen facilities, and friendly staffs

The hotel staff were incredibly nice and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed having kitchen facilities - it was wonderful to be able to cook our own meals. The location was excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the tram station and only 3 stops from Zurich HB, which made getting around the city very convenient. Overall, my wife, our two sons, and I absolutely loved this apartment.

Truly incredible and unforgettable

Spacious, clean, great location, quiet area but right by all transport links and a 10 min walk into the centre.

Pillows were a little uncomfortable and flat even after trying a couple but depends what you like.

A perfect stay in the centre of Zurich!

The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well appointed. There was a washer, dryer, dishwasher and cutlery etc of excellent quality. The location was also excellent - there are 2 tram lines which will take you to the train station and to town in a few minutes, and in total, about 30 minutes to Zurich airport by tram and train. The reception staff were also warm, welcoming and very prompt and obliging with requests. This is my second stay with EMA House in 2 years, coincidentally in the same apartment, and I definitely look forward to staying again on my next visit to Zurich!

Comfortable large modern apartment

Very large, modern, clean apartment with all facilities we needed. Easy walking distance from Zurich main train station. They allowed us early AM access to the unit after a long trip from Australia at no extra cost.

Very expensive city

We had a pleasant stay but nothing special considering the cost. The location was a bit out of city centre but a short walk in to the city through the park. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. British adaptor did not fit in the sockets but one was left out and I'm sure they would have provided more if necessary. Good Thai restaurant across from building and coffee shop under the bridge was nice.

The sofa was very uncomfortable. It was really warm and bottle of water provided but left out not in fridge! A carton of milk would also be good.

Extremely enjoyable and comfortable stay for our time in Zurich that we would highly recommend to our family and friends

Extremely spacious apartment with a fantastic kitchen and bathroom, also has its own washer and dryer. The staff were extremely helpful with settling us into our apartment and went the extra mile to provide some personal recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Located within walking distance from Zurich’s main train station and tram stop nearby if your luggage is heavy/bulky to walk with or the weather isn’t pleasant. Walkable distance to the city centre or accessible via public transport.

Mattress on the sofa bed was not very comfortable.

Not bad but not great.

Location is good but not great. Close to the train and bus station is great but old town is about 20 min walk. And there is nothing around 3-5 min walk. Apartment size is nice but the furniture is basic and not comfortable at all. They can upgrade the mattresses, provide extra pillows, get some cushions for the couch, and most importantly if possible add AC. It was 90 degree Fahrenheit everyday and just a basic fan does not cut it. Kitchen was well stocked and bathrooms while far away from the bedrooms were clean and nice.

Great large apartment

The apartment was very clean, large and very comfortable. The bed is HUGE and there was plenty of space for our high energy 4 year old to run around. The kitchen is well stocked and the toiletries were greatly appreciated. The cleaning service was also appreciated as we stayed for 5 days. The location was also fantastic. Easy access to the center, food, parks and the train station (10-15 minutes walk).

A perfect stay in Zurich — I would definitely come back!

The apartment is spacious, clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is perfect — close to everything but still quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I loved the little touches like the coffee machine and the wash sets. And the kitchen is perfect for a short stay where we can cook for a simple dinner and enjoy the football game. Love it!

Excellent accommodation very close to Zurich attractions. Clean superb Apartment very well serviced. The service desk is in a Hotel in the street behind called EMA House Hotel Suites. The area feels very safe and there are several restaurants withing walking distance. We had a great experience.

Excellent apartment. Great kitchen, even had washer and dryer. Location walking distance to train and center and even a big grocery shop. Right across the limit river where people are swimming! It’s very safe!

Didn’t like that there was no central AC, so we were a bit hot in the apartment given the time a year we were traveling in the summer. Also our apartment faces the Main Street and the traffic was noisy at night, also because we had to keep our windows open due to lack of AC.

Disappointing Experience – Unauthorized Charges and Unwelcoming for Families

Be careful! Disappointing Experience – Unauthorized Charges and Unwelcoming for Families We stayed at EMA House in Zurich expecting a comfortable and family-friendly experience, but unfortunately, our stay was marred by two serious concerns. First, we were contacted by the management regarding pen marks found on the chairs in our apartment, allegedly made by our children. While we understand the importance of maintaining the property, the tone of the message felt unwelcoming and discriminatory toward families with young kids. Accidents can happen, and it’s disappointing that a hospitality provider would not have the appropriate insurance to cover such minor wear and tear, especially when advertising as family-friendly. Instead, we were warned about potential charges and asked to check our own liability insurance for a 4-year-old boy who used a pen on a leather chair, which felt unfair and inappropriate. Second, and more seriously, we discovered that my husband’s Visa card was used by EMA House for 200 CHF without our authorization. This card was not used for the booking and was only presented in person to pay the city tax. We were never informed that the card details would be stored or used for any other purpose, and no consent was given for any deposit or additional charges. This is a serious breach of trust and raises concerns about data privacy and credit card fraud. We have requested an immediate refund and are still awaiting a resolution. While the apartment itself was clean and well-located, these issues left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. I would caution other families and travelers to be aware of these practices before booking.

Great location to walk everywhere, yet also in a quiet neighborhood. Great Value for a stay Zurich.

Location was close enough to walk to train station, bus terminal, Old Town, etc., so we could walk to everything! Close enough to the airport as well for a short Taxi/Uber ride to airport. Unit is well maintained and very clean. Very large private outdoor patio with plenty of seating was nice to relax in or entertain. Unit is very spacious with tons of storage if anyone is in need of a lot of storage. (Seems more suitable for a long term stay situation.)

No A/C in the unit, though I am thankful for the 2 portable units in the bedrooms. The windows were wide open upon our arrival, probably to let fresh air in the unit since no A/C, but then there were a few bugs also in our bedroom (probably because the windows were wide open when we arrived). Closed the windows, killed the few bugs and no more bugs to be found :) Also, the beds were a little too hard, but that is a personal taste. Having 2 Bathrooms was nice for 4 adults, but there is only 1 shower in 1 of the bathrooms, so a shower schedule is needed among the travelers. Location was very convenient to walk to everything, but the website shows great views (which we did not have) and there is a lot of construction in the area, so I felt like my walk always involved construction zones.

Beautiful, well equipped apartment, conveniently located. We loved having access to quality appliances (dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer). Beds were comfortable, overall a delightful place to stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Ideal Zurich City Stay

This is not my first stay at EMA properties and particularly at this location, which is just 2 min walk from the main train station. The apartment is super clean and has all amenities one would need for a comfortable stay from a fully equipped kitchen to washing and drying machine. A nice and comfortable living area with a good size tv. Very comfortable bed and linen that are fresh and mighty clean for a good night sleep.

I wouldn't say I didn't like anything about this property, but maybe one thing would have been nice which is replacing current generation tv with smart tv that has access to netflix, YouTube and other streaming apps out there.

It was SO central to everything! We had a beautiful view of the river running through town and we could watch everyone jump into it through summer having a wonderful time! The amount of fresh air running through the apartment was spectacular, it was the best accommodation we had stayed in all trip!

The only thing was no aircon in summer, it was very hot but they did give us Dyson fans

We are repeat guests. This is the second time staying. Last year it was a good experience so we are back! We always love the spaciousness of the rooms and catered all provisions as a good serviced apartment would! Staff are helpful friendly and prompt in responding to questions. They were very kind to allow us to store our large luggage for 4 days between 2 legs of tour Zurich stat while we headed off to Zermatt. Do ask in advance. With kids the apartment is excellent as it allows kid to run around inside and Lounge around on lazy days. We cooked several meals and find the cleaning service always good. It is central enough to be walking distance to the main train station Zurich Bahnhof. Yet slightly off the city centre enough to be more reasonably priced. We enjoy the summer walk along the Limmat to and fro everyday.
