HITrental Schmidgasse - Apartments

The main advantage of this property is its outstanding location. It is practically in the heart of Zurich, right next to the river and historic bridges, within walking distance of all the city's main attractions, and only about five minutes from the main train station. The room, bathroom, and kitchen appliances were all adequate for a comfortable stay. The space is modest but well organized and sufficient for one or two people.

The key collection process should be improved. It was not clear which key locker I was supposed to use, and the key code I received by email was incorrect. Fortunately, the cleaning lady noticed the problem, contacted the company representative, opened the correct lockbox, and found my key. I really appreciate her helpfulness and quick response, as she saved the situation. My recommendation is to provide clearer key collection instructions and ensure that the access code sent to guests is correct.

Everything was clean and worked

It was noisy, and I had to clean everything after myself. When I book a hotel or apartment through Airbnb, I usually don’t need to do that. Also, when I made the booking, the airport taxi transfer was supposed to be free. However, when I contacted the property directly, they replied only after a few days and told me that it was not their offer and that I needed to contact Booking.com. When I contacted Booking.com, they told me it was already too late because it had to be arranged at least 24 hours in advance. Overall, I am disappointed.
