Don’t stay here, it is not as advertised

The location and that’s all

The place was not as advertised. There was not laundry facilities to use, they were there but they were broken and we asked the host and was told most people sleep there they don’t do laundry, when explained we choose it for this reason since we had been traveling for weeks he did not care at all. When we arrived the message said the best would be on and set for us however it was not and it was 8 in the place during the day arrival and by 2300 we were absolutely freezing and he had not returned messages so we had to call over and over to get instructions on getting the heat on, where the listing described the heat was, was completely inaccurate and it was actually attached to a nest camera in the living room that could watch us in our pjs and while eating which to me is inappropriate inside a residence without it being disclosed ahead of time. When we first arrived the door in the kitchen to the back patio was wide open and the rain and wind had flood part of the floor and blown in rubbish, when the hair was advised we didn’t seem to care and we didn’t have enough towels to clean it up, and had to do the best we could with napkins and Kleenex we had with us. The place was also booked with knowing it provided a blow dryer, as we are 3 women traveling and after searching for it I messaged the host and was told oh well it just have grown legs and walked off, so we had no way to dry our hair and had to leave with it wet which causes two of us to get sick. This place should not be listed for use until it is brought up to a minimum standard of use and have all that is listed either working and present or completely removed from the listing.

It had a great bonus of having a pool table......that was completely unplayable as the room was too small. Would be great if the table was moved around so as to access the shots with ease.

Street was noisy in the morning with building going on and neighbours heading to work early in the morning also.

Excellent location , house was well laid out and the rooms were bright and spacious. The additional room with pool table was a great bonus ( unfortunately one pool ball missing )

Shower head holder comes apart it touched at all and shower tray not draining properly. Our issue was not with the property but with neighbours next door who were extremely noisy from 6am on both mornings we were there. It seemed they were coming outside to have conversations on their phones but were practically shouting. This went on repeatedly until about 7.30 then all went quiet.

Excellent house, Excellent location

House was exactly as advertised; extremely clean and spacious. Darren and Tara were extremely quick to respond to messages too. You couldn't ask for a better location in the middle of Derry right next to Waterloo Street. Will certainly be staying again!

Derry city centre location

The location is close to the city centre and several of the Derry attractions. The house is clean and we had what we needed in terms of cutlery and crockery.

Being so close to the City's nightlife it was noisy at night and we experienced shouting and arguments in the street until around 2.00am on each night of our stay. Also, car parking is difficult as neighbours block spaces with cones and wheelie bins (we were shouted at when we tried to move them; not a nice experience).

Location so central to everything in the city, pool table and arcade game to keep the kids occupied, parking just round the corner, quiet street. Quick response from our hosts. House may look small from the street but plenty of room for a family of 6 inside.

Only 9 degrees upon arrival so took the house a few hours to heat up. Low on cutlery and crockery but otherwise a well stocked kitchen. Could have done with a few more bath towels but that's only a minor detail.

We have the whole house and it help us feel comfortable. The washing machine was helpful as it was raining when we arrive in derry. We’re able to cook as the kitchen utensils was complete enough.

Maybe just the bath towel, it wasn’t soft.

a lovely house, would stay again but needs some work doing.

The location is perfect, right in the centre with plenty in walking distance. There were more bedrooms than we first thought, with two single rooms on the top floor, we assumed from the pictures that there was a room with two single beds in but this wasn’t the case when we got there. All utensils were available and the kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean and we would definitely stay again.

Something was wrong with electrics, when we tried to switch the washing machine on you could hear the plug socket sizzling and lights in other rooms would flicker. The tumble dryer didn’t work at all. There was no baking trays available so cooking in the oven was a bit difficult. I don’t think on street parking should be advertised, we drove over on the ferry so had a car and it was very difficult some days to get parked anywhere near. You can only park on one side of the street and it is packed and very tight. Considering this house can hold 4 adults and 2 children, or 6 adults, there is no where near enough seating space in the house, some people had to sit on the floor. The pool table is a bit pointless, it is so big that you struggle to be able to even use it, it would make more sense to get rid and have another reception room. The shower is broke and is hanging off the wall, it still works but it’s not ideal. A bath mat would be a good idea, slippy tiles in the bathroom with minimal towels is dangerous when trying to get children out of the bath. Some door handles are broken and doors dont close properly.

Great spacious property, spotlessly clean and in a great location

Location was so central and it was a very quiet area. As one of the family has a disability and poor mobility, it was great to have a disabled parking space across from the property how we found out in the 2nd day that this was not for the property snd was for one of the street residents

Not a criticism but the stairs in the house were problematic for my brother with the disability but we managed
