Perfectly adequate for a one night stay

Compact apartment right in the centre of Derry. Had everything needed for a one night stay.

There was a persistent smell of smoke in the property. The walls were slightly thin but there was minimal noise so not an issue.

The location was excellent, and the bed was really comfortable. Everything was clean.

The ceiling lights weren't working, which didn't bother us to any great effect, as the low lights suited us. But it might require looking at.

Great location but would not stay again.

We loved the location

The heating requires maintenance, the living room and main bedroom were far too cold. The bathroom could do with a revamp, the shower seal needs replaced or bleached as does the seal or grout between the tiles and the bath. The shower head leaks and we couldn't lower it. The window in the bathroom and the one in the hall allow light into the main bedroom disturbing whoever is sleeping there. The rug in the second bedroom needs replaced, I was reluctant to step on it with bare feet. The quilts on both beds were very thin. We were informed a second key and our receipt would be on the table, thankfully we didn't need them as they were not there.

Excellent location with lovely facilities

We met the lady next to the building as we where walking up and she was lovely and helped us collect the keys from the lock box - she was great! The location was excellent and the apartment was clean - we rented two and each one was beautifully decorated and really clean, excellent kitchen and lovely bathroom. Would highly recommend as very close to everything! Host was very responsive to messages and completed a request we had which was brilliant - thanks for making our weekend in Derry brilliant!

Disappointed

Location was good and central, Easy to get into.

When we arrived there was underwear in the drawer, one of the windows would not close so it was extremely cold when we arrived- followed the heating instructions and could not get the heating on. Thankfully we were out most of the day as we were up for a birthday but when we returned to the apartment it was extremely cold, unfortunately I do not think I would return to this location.

Clean apartment in a great location

It was a great space in an easy-to-access location. Within walking distance to everything. Had plenty of space for my whole party to relax and was very clean.

The front door didn't latch. It could be opened with a little push without putting in the door code, but the owner was alerted and said they'd fix it. Be careful of narrow staircases if you have larger luggage.

Only good thing about this flat was the location

Location is great and checking-in was very straight forward. Parking was not too bad, we found a spot on a parking lot nearby by and it's free all day on Sundays.

The heating wasn't working (we were lucky it was not too cold). The fridge looked very old and was not on when we arrived so we had to wait for a few hours before it cooled down. Everything looked a bit shabby and the sheets and duvet didn't smell good. The toilet didn’t flush very efficiently and was quite slow. There was no shower gel or shampoo and you won't be able to get them in the area after 6 pm. TV is very old, so forget about watching a movie on Netflix or similar. 4 flights of stairs to get to the flat.

Perfect location for extended stays in Derry.

Easy access to apartment with directions given a few days in advance. Self-check in so never met a person, which is fine. So convenient to the walled city as you are steps away from one of the gates. Convenient walking tour to sites and two shopping centers nearby. If you need to buy groceries to stock the kitchen that can be done at numerous locations. The apartment is spacious enough with a large seating area. Amply equipped kitchen. Bedroom and bath are small but adequate in size. Parking is available on the adjacent Carlisle Street (free for first hour and then needs to be moved.) The apartment gave suggestions for several parking pay garages, yet a local gentleman told us to park on Abercorn Road which is always free and only five minutes walk from the apartment (other side of the "Hands Across the Divide" roundabout sculpture and Craigavon Bridge). We parked there twice as we took the car out for a drive through County Donegal.

Unfortunately, the apartment does not provide shower gel. Bring your own or be prepared to shop for it before settling in. (My question - What happens if someone arrives late at night, wants to shower and there is no shower gel? Seems like something pretty cheap to provide for guests.) Secondly, the guest book for pertinent information is outdated. Luckily, the message from the host through booking.com had the correct Wifi code, the book's code is not correct.. It's little things like this which matter to the traveler. For these reasons I believe my rating is accurate.

Check in information was sent to my account. It was easy enough to follow and it was quick and easy to access the property. Nice, large space, close to shops, restaurants, the walls and the Derry Girls mural. Good internet access and modern TV. Good pressure in the shower. Even though it is right in the city, it was fairly quiet in the area.

The exit sign, which is illuminated above the apartment door, shines into your face while trying to sleep. Bring an eye mask.

Great central location - But noisy and unsociable hours and no parking

Location was so convenient as very central Good communication before check in

It's above a restaurant / bar so it was very noisy late night and very early morning from around 6am We wouldn't mind generally but travelled with 2 young kids who needed sleep for competition next day and it wasn't suitable. Perhaps we should have thought about that before booking but we couldn't get anywhere else available in the right location. There's no parking. So had to try to park either on street which meant having to move car regularly or being lucky to get spot in small car park near by - but that was costly Furnishing are starting to look a bit tatty

The shower curtain was ineffective, bathroom should have a toilet brush and a bar of soap would have been good. Towels were very old and for price of this accommodation they should be better quality. Some of the Coffee cups were stained and should have been replaced.

Central location, no parking wouldn’t use again

Collecting the keys was easy - actually finding the door to the apartments was not fortunately a local saw us standing on the corner looking and she showed us the door

There was only one set of towels in a wardrobe for two of us - tried ringing both “useful” numbers but no answer - following morning i send a text which was immediately read but still no follow up - also the bath mat was still very damp
