Harvey Apartments

Very near to the city centre, and all the entertainment and places to eat. House was clean, bed was comfy, everything you need was there, such as dishwasher, washing machine, fridge etc.Host was easy to get in touch with when we had a problem entering the property, and was very helpful. Apartment was small but enough room for 2 people.

Nothing really worth mentioning.

Location was excellent. It is very central and an easy walk to all attractions, cafes, museums, information centre, shopping and the harbour. A previous reviewer mentioned they felt unsafe in the area. We didn't find that at all, although there were two of us. It was as described in the information provided and provided everything we needed. The entrance to the complex had a code and we also had a code to access our room. So we felt the security was very good. The room was very clean. We managed to get a parking space very close to the entrance of the complex.

We knew from previous reviews the bedroom was small. It was quite 'snug' with one side of the double bed up against a wall. However we managed and it wasn't really a big deal for us. I can understand comments about parking possibly being a problem. There are plenty of spaces but by the end of the day the street was either full or very close to full of parked cars. It wasn't a problem for us though. We nabbed a parking space from the start and didn't need to move the car as we were able to walk everywhere.

The double bed is tiny and mattress very uncomfortable- needs replaced. The apartment needs a very good cleaning, had to clean down surfaces before using the kitchen. Found stale chips next to the sofa in the living area. Carpet in bedroom should be replaced.
