Property is central for visiting Derry. Apartments are clean and comfortable. They have clearly been renovated recently and it was a delight to arrive to. Communication with property owners was brilliant beforehand as we were arriving earlier and wanted to avail of an early check in.

Apartments are quite cold without heating on so do boost the heating when you arrive.

Great apartment stay in Derry

This property was so cute and had everything and anything we needed! The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery/crockery and additional items such as baking trays mixing bowls etc. Netflix and ability to chrome cast to the tv was great! The bed was super comfy and the shower had great pressure and temperature! Lots of attention to detail and little touches in the apartment! Great location right in the walled part of the city was excellent for a home base while we explored Derry!

Clean, central, and with a fantastic host, the apartment was ideal despite the slightly high price.

The property was great, very clean and so central to all Derry city has to offer. Joe was fantastic and easy to get in touch with. I was a bit stuck trying to find the door code in my emails, but he helped me with a lovely manner. We had to head off early in the morning, and I was sorry I didn't get a chance to have a coffee in his lovely ice cream shop.

Overall it was exactly what I hoped it would be. I marked it slightly down as the sofa bed was not super comfortable, and it was quite expensive at €213 (£187) for 1 night (....I know....I know dynamic pricing). We did really like the property, and it was perfect for our needs of a stopover before an event.

Quality apartment in a great location!

Great location and great size for two people travelling. We only stayed for a brief stay but would really consider booking again. Bed was very comfortable, towels were a great size for showering and the shower was great also. Close to everything in the city and felt secure on how apartment is accessed.

Could hear the people in the apartment above us moving about in the middle of the night. Not a huge issue, just somewhat noticeable during our stay.

Great accommodation in the heart of the city!

This apartment was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. There were plenty of amenities in the kitchen. The bed was comfortable. The location was fantastic. We were attending a show at the millennium forum which was a very short walk away. Shops, bars and restaurants were also within walking distance.

The owners were very obliging re the broken shower so not a problem, but the noise was uncontrollable by them, therefore

The shower unfortunately was broken however we were offered an alternative in a downstairs unit. That was ok👍🏼 Also it was very noisy with a truck full of groceries unloaded over an hour opposite the unit - night time clubbers yelling at 3am all the way up the street & the street sweeper reversing constantly before 7am beep-beep-beep - Very interrupted sleep

Loved Derry and its Irish charm!

Perfect location inside the walls and really easy to find/access. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean and contained everything you need for a home from home feel. The hosts were really helpful - they recommended restaurants (walled city brewery was delicious and good value!), bars playing live music (peadra o’donnels and o’laughlins definitely had the craic!) and parking (use bishop street - a few minutes from the apartment). Derry itself was fantastic, we fell in love with it. All the sights are within easy walking distance. Highly recommended. Thank you!

The apartment was centrally located. The bed was comfortable. Nice kitchen area and setting area. Very roomy.

We were there on a Saturday night. Not the owners fault but the people above us decided to invite over 20 to their flat at 2:30 in the morning. Sunday night was perfect .You take your chances in an unsupervised setting.

Top Quality Host, Ideal Location, Great Time in Derry

There's lots to like about Cathedral Quarters Apartments, starting with the host. Joe made himself for phone calls before we arrived, and was easy to reach during our stay. He really helped take the guesswork out of traveling so far from home, even to the point of suggesting a safe carpark for our rental car. Really can't say enough about what an excellent host he was, which is so crucial to a pleasant stay when you're booking internationally. The apartment more than met our needs, comfortable bed and shower, nice sitting area and kitchenette. The added bonus of Cathedral Quarter Apartments is its convenient location, within walking distance of just about anything you'd want to do in Derry. Lots of shops, restaurants and pubs close by. We would definitely stay here again.

There was a big youth football tournament in town while we were there, so the all-night street noise was, shall we say, energetic. Obviously that in no way reflects on the quality or value of this property and its owners, I only say it to note that you are in the heart of a big city, so there's going to be noise at night. We were there in July, so had to keep the windows open to keep the apartment cool (skylights in the bedroom but they have shades that pull down), so were treated to some rather lively discussions down in the street around 3am. So be aware you'll hear street noise through the open windows if you stay in the summer. Use a sleep app like we did! Also, tall people might want to inquire about other apartments in the building besides the 3rd floor Bishop's Snug where we stayed. I'm 6'4", and barely fit in most rooms of the apartment. Don't know what the other apartments in the building look like, but Bishop's Snug has fairly low ceilings for anyone who's tall. It's also a walkup (no elevator), so be aware you'll be hauling your luggage up stairs.

Fabulous stay in the heart of the city.

Fabulous communication from Joe & Cassie really welcome. The apartment was in a fabulous location right in the heart of the city. No parking at accommodation but plenty near by, again Joe & Cassie provided details of several car parks before our arrival. We parked Bishops Gate car park, literally 5 minutes walk if that. Accommodation was very clean and very pleasant, really just an ideal choice for our stay.

A bit of noise heard when people walking around moving chairs in apartment above heard during night, but nothing to bad. A bit of road noise also heard during night, but again not too loud in comparison to many town / cities

Wonderful modern apartment in the center of everything!

Super central location inside the walled city, just a block down from the Cathedral. Everything in walking distance, perfect for a one night stay in Derry.

Our room was on the third floor, no lift, which was a bit tricky to navigate with suitcases. But, we were able to manage by taking our time. Also, the Bishop's Nook does have low eaves, which is mostly an issue in the bathroom when getting ready at the sink.)
