Trip to Derry

This accommodation was one of the nicest I've stayed in, really enjoyed our short stay, wish we could have stayed longer, yes it's a little noisy but not a problem bedroom was quiet enough . Short walk into city centre didn't have any problems looking for car parking, Next time I come to Derry l hope to stay Victoria Gate Lodge and for longer.

Absolutely stunning, comfortable, ideally located, a true gem of a find we will be returning to!

We absolutely loved this property and had the loveliest time staying here. The photographs don’t do it justice, it has been decorated and furnished with a very high end finish throughout. It is kept spotless and has everything you need to self cater. Even thoughtful little extras like earplugs were provided - which we didn’t need. I stayed with my partner and adult son for a trip to attend a christening. The location was perfect, a lovely walk over the bridge takes you to the centre of Derry. I can’t fault anything about this place, from beginning to end, communication was great, we had everything we needed before we arrived. Entry to the property was easy, everything worked as described. Beds were lovely and comfortable, Netflix was a nice extra. We highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thanks so much!

There is nothing at all we didn’t like, we read some reviews saying there was a lot of road noise but we all slept like babies! Earplugs were provided for lighter sleepers but we had no problem whatsoever.

Quaint beautiful home near Derry

Location and quaintness of the location. It was by a noisy road but that didn't bother us at all. We honestly thought the property was so quaint and fun that the traffic was part of the experience.

This gate lodge was so cosy, and a very easy stroll into the city. The decor was fabulous, we had everything we needed. It was a great find.

It’s on a busy road, if you’re not used to it, traffic noise might be unsettling.

Fabulous property to enjoy the sights of Derry

Lovely furnished property walking distance into Derry city.

Nothing- some people might find the noise difficult- however goes whiter at night and we couldn’t hear anything during the night and ear plugs not required

Beautiful cosy cottage that we wish we could have spent more time in

Absolutely gorgeous little cottage just on the outskirts of Derry city centre - so cosy, with beautiful furniture and decorations. We were very disappointed only be staying one night (most of which we spent elsewhere at a 40th), as it’s the kind of place you could easily spend a week in - went to book it for Halloween next year and it’s already been snapped up, which is a testimony to what a lovely place it is! Only a twenty minute walk to be right in the heart of the city, a beautiful claw toed bath, and the bed we had was exceptionally comfortable - I hope we’ll return.

As others have mentioned, there is traffic noise, however the hosts have done a great job at soundproofing the place (the provided earplugs were a great shout too), and my snoring undoubtedly drowned it out for my partner!

Hidden Gem

This house is a little gem, our hostess Rachel should be rightly proud of herself for the high standards we found there. Absolutely spotless and so cosy and welcoming. It's only 5 mins from the city which was great for us. I would have no problem recommending Victoia Gate Lodge.

The only drawback was road noise but it didn't bother us too much and the bedrooms were nice and quiet.

Exceptional accommodation in the heart of Derry

Exceptional accommodation with everything you need for a cosy, comfortable break away. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable beds. Within walking distance to shops. Easy check in and out independently using a keypad. Prompt, friendly and helpful communication with host. Couldn’t fault it at all and would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

It was fantastic!

This is a lovely house, convenient to the railway station, access to the centre of Derry and all the attractions were an easy walk. The house is beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay there and would certainly recommend it.

The gate lodge was quaint & quirky. Decor very tastefully done & up to date. Spacious dining & seated area. Everything you need for an overnight stay & more. Walking distance into Londonderry centre. Exceptionally clean.

Love, Love loved everything - possibly the only negative is to mention the road noise.
