The property is beautiful with beautiful views of the ocean. I just felt the linens and towels were old ; they need a revamp. Hence the 8 out of 10. Also, in the summer, it was hot so perhaps better fans. What we had just did the job ; better fans would be great. Armahna and Barry - amazing ; always responsive and helpful. Also suggest, baiscs like salt , pepper, oil ; those who have a short stay would end up buying all the basics - which if supplied , would be great. Otherwise a well equipped kitchen. The Back yard definitely needs maintenance ; maybe Barry is waiting for the rains. The back yard garden looked neglected. But we only used it to dry our clothes.

I just felt the linens and towels were old ; they need a revamp. Hence the 8 out of 10.

The views were stunning. The layout was family friendly, with lots of space to socialise. We even liked visits from baboons, but realise they can be a risk.

The driveway was steep. We just parked on the street.

Polyester linen - otherwise excellent choice

Large spacious house, very spacious rooms, good shower, well equipped kitchen, great views, friendly host, good communication. All great, BUT - see below

All the linen was 100 % polyester! We find this totally unacceptable and we have never found polyester linen at any other accommodation, not even cheap ones. I don't know if this is a new Cape Town thing, as you probably don't need to iron that linen. Polycotton is bad enough, but for a property of this quality, this is an absolute no for us. - The driveway can be a bit of a challenge, especially with a big car. My husband was fine, but I would not have wanted to negotiate that driveway with our car. Of course, there is nothing that can be done about this.

Wonderful, peaceful place with remarkable views over False Bay

What a beautiful, serene spot. Could've spent all day every day at the house simply enjoying the vast view over False Bay. Gorgeous! Spotless, well equipped and lovely decor. Would love to return!! Thanks.

Loo seats might need replacing. Shutter locking system initially confusing but we got it in the end!

Very comfortable, lots of room, 4 bedrooms all en suite. Lots of kitchen equipment, washing machine, dishwasher

Needed a bit of TLC. Front door extremely difficult to open from inside. Couple of bathroom windows refused to shut. Every louvre on the windows appeared to have a different key. One bedroom had 12 keys to open the louvre shutters & then the doors!

The views are beautiful and location is very convenient. The kitchen is well equipped with a lovely large dining room table.

Very small bathrooms and nicest bedroom with nicest view set as a twin bed option which is such a pity given how lovely that room is. Main bedroom quite plain and bathroom very small.

The house is located in a quiet residential area with beautiful ocean view in every bedroom. It is also close to many beaches and restaurants and only 5mins drive to penguim colony. Barry is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome there.

Couches in the TV room need some good cleaning. Bath towels, although clean, look and feel very old.

Excellent location.

Property needs some attention, both the garden and the house. We went in winter and it was very cold inside. No heaters, no extra blankets. There is a fire in the very small lounge but doesn't do much unless you're sitting right at it.

My family and I had a wonderful Easter break and will definitely come back again.

Lovely spacious house with a great location. Views were amazing from the deck. There were a total of 8 family members who enjoyed the open spaces, large kitchen and large bedrooms. We enjoyed the our lunch on the deck and the cozy fire in the evenings. Located close to the Simonstown Village with plenty activities.

Balustrade on deck / patio are needed some maintenance.

bel emplacement à Simon's Town, belle maison spacieuse, chouette vue. La ville est agréable et a proximité de nombreux points d'intérêts. Tour en bateau depuis Simon's Town pour aller voir les baleine, pas besoin de courir jusqu'Hermanus ;-)
