Comfortable

A very comfortable studio. Spacious. Good living space. Nice bathroom. Convenient kitchenette. Balcony to sit outside. There is less wind on this side.

When you come to stay in Simonstown people need to prepare themselves how to cope with baboons. Informative brochures are available online. The host didn't supply information, nor is there an exit plan when baboons enter the balcony or the room searching for food.

Comfortable apartment with great Mountain/Ocean View

John is a great host through and through and very insightful about the area. I stayed just over a week as I was busy studying at the Simon’s Town Naval College. Very well situated location surrounded by mountains, a hiking trail, restaurants and penguins not far away.

There is a steep hill climb to drive up to the apartment so have a good car ready (or at least be prepared).

We loved everything, it was a wonderful stay! The location was great, views awesome and the room was excellent with lots of space and very modern. Extra touches like a list of restaurants and shops nearby was very helpful, and little extras like the chocolates in the apartment were appreciated!

Exquisite view, excellent location as a base for Simonstown beaches and snorkeling as well as visiting Cape Point. Beds comfortable, and seating sufficient. Great proximity to mountain for walks too.

Prep space to cook limited but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Extractor fan in the bathroom a bit noisy.

Most beautiful view in Simon's Town

Most beautiful place to stay in Simon's Town. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful - he sent us a list of activities to do and allowed us a late check-in. The apartment was very clean, with everything that you need. The bed is big and comfortable and you can see the most amazing view directly from it. We loved being able to grill/barbeque/braai on the balcony, where we felt immersed in the mountains and you could also see the ocean. It is superbly located, with fast access to the harbor and all surrounding hikes and beaches.

A perfect stay

We had the most perfect stay at Stonebrook Apartments. John, the host, contacted us on WhatsApp to check our arrival time and was very flexible and accommodating when we needed to change it. He met us on arrival and even carried our bags upstairs. John was helpful in making recommendations for local places to eat (we enjoyed a great breakfast at Saveurs and dinner at Dixie's). The location was excellent and the apartment was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We got up early to go to Boulders Beach and more or less had it to ourselves which was very special. We then spent the rest of the day in the magical Cape Point national park.

I am really nit picking here as we loved the place but the extractor fan in the bathroom is a little on the noisy side so my relaxing bath at the end of a perfect day was a little less relaxing that it otherwise might have been. Apart from that, everything was perfect!

Great weekend escape from the city

Incredible views, a huge balcony which had afternoon sun, the gas braai was easy to use and the view of the waterfall in the distance and sounds of nature were amazing for an escape from the city for the weekend. John was a great host checked in with us before arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Loved the filter coffee machine as well and a nice big TV with streaming and DSTV.

A blissful and beautiful home away from home!

Super clean and comfortable apartment, feel just at home. WiFi and reception is excellent so great for working, an absolutely beautiful view and atmosphere with lovely furniture, everything you may need in a kitchen and who doesn't love a shower that feels like a waterfall? I felt safe the entire time and it's bliss to be able to go for sunset walks to restaurants right around the corner. Lovely to have nature surrounding me with the entertainment of suntanning baboons in the distance. Incredibly happy with my stay and looking to the time I can come back and enjoy it again. The location was great, mountain view, balcony with beautiful seaview and Harbour, close to shops and other restaurants, boulders beach. No meal option available on site. In close proximity from many attractions like Cape point, Capetown and lots of scenic drives in area.

Everything was perfect, Simonstown are ideal for exploring the Cape Penisula , Capetown, Bloubergstand & lower parts of West coast on day trips.
