It was great and we will definitely stay again when visiting the Deep South of Cape Yown

The location was perfect for our short stay of visiting friends and family. Beautiful views over False Bay. Grace (the beautiful lady who greeted us) was friendly and kind and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed

The windows needed cleaning. It was hard to appreciate the great views when we could hardly see them.

Worst weekend accommodation

Just the location

To get to the room you need to walk outside to the back with uneven stairs. The staircase going up is terrible different height stairs, you hit your head going up or down, one section is so narrow you have to walk sideways with your bags to get through and need to keep your head down not to knock it. When you get to the room, you have to step down a big step to get in. The shower windows are clear and not frosted. The supposedly sea view the window is small and filthy, so the view is not good. The small bar fridge is so small and on the ground you have to kneel down to use it, guests are not allowed to use the stairway inside the house to get upstairs. There is a door that gets used by the cleaners upstairs which we can't use. When you go into the house they request you take off your shoes. When you leave your room you rather stay away till late not to have to contend with the outside stairs. Not value for money I would rather pay double for a better and more comfortable stay. Not a place I would return to. You dont even see the hosts at all.

The location is perfect. Close to the beach. Close to Shopping Centre’s. The sea views just spectacular and it is close to a train station, as well a tidal pool.

I think there needs to be pamphlets for activities you can do in Simon’s Town as well as guides to the nearest restaurant and malls.

A welcoming stay with spectacular views, spotless comfort and convenient amenities.

The view was absolutely spectacular, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay. The room and bathroom were both spacious and impeccably clean, while the firm mattress and pillows provided exceptional comfort. Thoughtful touches like a kettle and fridge added convenience, and the powerful standing fan offered both refreshing airflow and soothing white noise, ensuring a deep, restful sleep. Our hostess, Grace, was wonderfully sweet and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome. The location was ideal, with all amenities close at hand, making this accommodation both comfortable and practical.

We were allocated a top-floor room accessed by narrow, steep steps that felt unsafe. I even knocked my head on the way up, despite not being particularly tall, which made the climb a bit hazardous. While the kettle and fridge were useful, a microwave in the room would have been a welcome addition for reheating leftovers and adding extra convenience.

The location is perfect for going to the beach and travelling as it is just across the pool and train station and it was not a Spa while i was there.

They was no one to let us in when we made prior arrangements to arrive late and the owner did not answer their phone. For the 3 nights there was no house keeping we were told only when we left they were on leave.

Accommodation Review

We were greeted with warmth and hospitality by Grace. The location was beautiful and conveniently close to tourist attractions and shops. The rooms were clean, neat, and beautifully prepared.

The stairs leading to the top room were steep and quite unsafe, making it difficult to carry heavy luggage upstairs. The internal stairs leading to the upstairs room were not accessible, as the owners did not want them to be used since they live upstairs. The kitchen facilities were not all available for use, and the kitchen was shared, which made it uncomfortable. Guests are also required to bring their own iron and hairdryer, as these are not provided. Additionally, guests are required to remove their shoes inside the accommodation. While this was not an issue for me, it may be uncomfortable for those who prefer not to walk around without shoes.One of the rooms has a bathroom window that opens to an outdoor area where cleaners work, which required the window to be kept closed for privacy. On my last day, the owners had guests over, and it became very noisy late into the night. As a guest, one expects peace and privacy after a long journey; however, this was not provided during the last two days of my stay due to ongoing maintenance, which created a chaotic environment. There was also confusion during our stay, as the owners believed we had checked out a day earlier, resulting in the room being opened without knocking.

My only problem was booking.com who convinienced my budget by double deducting in my account for the same stay. I made several cancellation with no luck. I will be very glad if that problem can be rectified

What an amazing location! The pictures are true and you have an amazing view over the beach and water. Great place to watch sunrise and the sunset colours. Feels like a spa with the relaxed and comfortable aesthetic. Clean and friendly. Easy access. Safe. Comfy room.

The location was top tier - super close to the beach and a restaurant literally down the road from the place, 3min walk.

Would be great if they can add a microwave in the room. The bar fridge is also a bit small especially if you have left over food etc.

Great little room with incredible views. I was very happy with the little balcony area, cleanliness and location of the room.

Highly recommended

I really love this place and I plan to come back next year. I hope to bring my mom with me next time. The views are excellent. Within walking distance of beach and the shops. Good self catering facilities. I was well looked after by the housekeeper.

I forgot to mention in the last review that the toaster needs to be fixed.

Glorious Glencairn

Free parking is provided. Within walking distanceof Glencairn Beach, Kwikspar, and Harbour Bay Mall. Very clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The room also had fantastic sea views, a balcony, private entrance, extra blankets, kettlre, tea and coffee, and a wood burner fire place. The decor is Thai/South East Asian and very tastefully done.

I think there could have been more wood provided for the fire, and it appears that the toaster was not working properly. Otherwise no further complaints.
