Very clean, very modern. Close to a mall
There was a lot of confusion around the digital check in system. We were in the north tower but no correspondence mentioned this. After parking and removing luggage and heading to check in we were told we were in the wrong building.
The qwerty code for check in and face recognition system for access is rather difficult to navigate and staff at the property are not well trained to deal with issues. It took more than 30 minutes to eventually get to the room. The bathrooms are so small you need to climb into the shower to be able to close the bathroom door. Very very tight.

I liked the overall apartment.
The appliances could have been more high end (kettle, toaster) due to the price of the place and the broom and mop should be stored away and not in the bathroom.

The apartment was clean and modern, with a fridge, microwave, and countertop stove. Crockery and cutlery were provided. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was also very clean. Free parking and reliable Wi-Fi were a big plus. The balcony too. The location is excellent—right across from Riverland Shopping Centre with plenty of shops and very close the the N1 and N2 highways. Highly recommend for a short term stay.
Check-in was time-consuming — keys had to be collected from a lockbox then have to also check-in at the security desk before parking in the apartment complex' garage. The bathroom door design makes it difficult to enter and use the toilet, this will be a problem especially for larger sized guests. We also experienced noise from neighboring apartments, including dog barking, though this is outside the host’s control.

There was no fan or aircon despite them advertising that every unit had aircon. The linen was old and very scratchy. Flat was not very clean. Booking agents were not helpful at all

The team that manages the property is extremely incompetent and provides very poor customer service. Check-in took over an hour because they failed to add one of our guests to the system, preventing access to the building.
We booked two units, and on the second day one of the apartments had no electricity. It took the entire day and multiple follow-up phone calls from me before the issue was resolved. The staff also appeared to have very little understanding of how the units were uploaded into the system, to the point where the security guard had to explain the process to them.
On the last day of our stay, one unit again had no electricity, and one guest was locked out due to a biometric access failure. Management did not respond or resolve the issue at all, and we were forced to spend our final night without power, sleeping in the dark. This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
While the property is undeniably beautiful, the unprofessional conduct and incompetence of the management team severely impacted our stay. The owners should urgently address these management issues

Right area close to shops and great environment
1. Booking.com charged me International Transaction Fee amount of R719.97 above the booking fee. When I enquired from the property, they cited that I should engage Booking.com There was not disclaimer about these extra cost on the actual booking and this is disappointing. Till to date, no one has responded about my refund.
2. Check-in challenges with key and pin
3. The apartment is not meant for a long stay because there’s no washing machine and the agent does not provide access to the existing laundry that is within the building.
4. We stayed for 14 days, the cleaning was poor until we had to call to make sure that beddings were changed, bathroom clean and floor cleaned. Often I find myself cleaning the apartment even after the cleaning services because there is no inspection done about the neatness.
5. The apartment if well kept is a good place to stay for short visits no longer than 3 days.

City Hotel staff took nearly 2 hours to register my fiance and issue her QR code for access, after me stating on my application that it's for x 2 guests. She's not happy with this. The process should be seem less. We waiting in voyeur until she was sorted...
Oh we could hear people through the ventilation system all night. Sounded like staff working night shift and it was loud.

was nice and clean with a modern feel to it with awesome views of table mountain although our room did not have and coffee or tea provided
I did not like city lodge service I had to wait two hours for a response to get my QR code to book in, after trying to get hold of them like 20times I only got a answer from them once and the lady I spoke to hardly knew how to assist me told me she will send me the code after a 15min back and forth trying to give my confirmation code to her she finally got it rite after almost 7attempts, she then said she will WhatsAppy QR code which also took another hour to get, this was not acceptable they are very unprofessional and I won't reccomend anyone to book through (CityLodge) at all evens the front desk people at Riverland hotel said they are no good to book with as they always take forever to get back and always has a problem,so that being said I will sadly never book with them ever again and won't reccomend anyone else to do so aswell...and this after me and my wife drove 4hours to get to Capetown and still had to wait infront of the hotel for an additional 3hours to get booked in..but all and all lovely hotel with awesome people working there and very helpful.

I don't normally write reviews, but this special place needed one:
Nice apartment but to actually get there was a nightmare!! At first there is no proper instructions of how to check in, They make you register via a link to get into the building that you don't even know where to drive to in the first place, the signage at the building takes a while to figure out. Then the app doesn't work properly, they made me drive a few kilometers to another address to log in via their system that they also had difficulty doing. Finally I drove back to the place, park underground searching for the reception figure out I'm at the wrong place, walk another block down finally find the right place around the corner, the whole process took me almost 2 hours!! Otherwise lovely apartment.
(Ps: maybe bring your own wine opener because there's wine glasses but not a wine opener!)
Oh before I forget, watch out for the unnecessary door stop in the smallest bathroom! Also someone might randomly just come in and clean half the place! And the pillows.. how can I forget the hardest stiffest pillows I've ever encountered in my life ugh!

There was no electricity for nearly 24 hrs. I was told that they had forgotten to top it up. I was offered emergency temporary accommodation for the night, until the matter was sorted, however when I arrived at the hotel at 1am in the morning after trying to get into the apartment from 10pm. I found it was dirty, the sheets, mattress protector all the bedding was disgusting and dirty, the floors clearly had not been cleaned, there were H&S issues and to top it off I had to share the shower and toilet with five others who had rooms on that landing. The facilities were grimmy, dirty and outdated..I slept in my clothes. Upon returning to the so called "Luxury apartment" the next day, the apartment still had no electricity, it took until around 2pm before I could enter the apartment. I was told on several occasions by several people that they had failed to top up the electricity...which is outrageous..my food items in my fridge had to be thrown away, the room has no A/C or fan, and in this hot weather that is no acceptable.. there is a constant banging of doors that starts from 8am in the morning until late into the night, so you cannot rest. The door to the roof, and Laundry room just bangs constantly...I would not recommend this apartment to my worse enemy..and I will be making a formal complaint to Booking.com upon my return to the UK..

The property was very clean and well-maintained with a nice view of the harbour. Very reasonable pricing for what you get in a safe and secure property.
It took me 40 minutes to check in because they didn't send me the instructions beforehand. I arrived at the property with no way to get into parking or building. The number is for a different location. Struggled to get in touch with the person responsible for that property. I had no idea where I needed to go or what to do. Very unhelpful and unresponsive staff. I was literally running around like a headless chicken trying to figure out where I need to go or what I need to do.

After booking and taking your money, they send you a bunch of additional rules and requests for personal information, which they didn't disclose on the listing and demand before sending you the check-in instructions.
I replied that they should have disclosed the requirements before I booked and I don't have the IDs with me. I demanded that they either cancel my booking and refund me so that I can book someplace else, or that they send me the check-in instructions.
They replied that they'll send me the check-in instructions before my 15:00 check-in time.
A couple of hours after that message, they send me an online form to complete in which a copy of my ID was requested.
I replied and mentioned that I cannot complete the form as explained earlier, and asked whether I can still check in regardless, as they stated earlier.
No reply was received and no check-in instructions was send at 15:00. After multiple enquiries they continuously refused to send me the check-in instructions unless I completed the online form.
