Andi and Chris both great hosts. I was very comfortable at the villa.

I stayed there to do some Maritime courses, it was very suitable for that purpose. Close to the training centre and a nice environment to study in at night.

Andi, the owner of the house is very accommodating. He is a very good host!!! The house is beautiful, stunning view and the room is amazing! Very neat and clean. I will definitely go back to the same accommodation if I ever visit Houtbay again.

It seemed a little noisy in the evenings with the locals around - but you get used to it quite quickly! There is nothing the host can do about it, this is an external problem. (Which isn't a major problem at all.)

perfect house in houtbay

Andi is adorable. He welcomed us warmly. the house is perfect. we had the "suite" with private bathroom. the view is great, directly on the beach and the mountain (chapman's peak). Houtbay is a great location, with its lovely beach and harbour and near every places to visit (30 min cape town - 30 min Muizenberg etc). I warmly recommand the location, the house and Andi of course !

You just need to know that houses in south africa are warm if its warm oustide and cold if its cold outside, that is the african way of life ;-)

Had we known the property was next to an informal settlement with constant loud music/noise and barking dogs all night, we would not have booked. The room has sound proof windows and glass doors, but the idea is to sit on the deck overlooking the view which is not possible. One bathroom to be shared by 2 rooms is also not good. Place is clean and host friendly. Towels are old and very hard. Bedding sufficient.

Andi is a super HOST! We loved our stay, had a blast in the Villa, we worked remotely and wifi was always good! environment, and vibes were awesome! Would have never left if possible :)

Beautiful view and friendly people!

The location of this home is absolutely beautiful, overlooking Hout Bay! It’s a very short drive down to the main beach area. The whole house is so stunning and has a lovely stylish touch, especially the garden. The swimming pool area along with the balcony/porch is so beautiful! The host Andi was also so friendly and made us both feel so welcome. He really has a wonderful home!

Because the house is up on a hill, it did get very windy at night and it was a little difficult to get to sleep because it felt so stormy at times. Definitely bring ear plugs! Also maybe a few toiletry bits like shower gel/shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom upon arrival would be nice for those that travel light and don’t bring those things with them. Asides from that it was amazing.

We loved the hospitality of the the host and the simple touches he added to make our stay extra relaxing. The view from the bedroom was beautiful and just what one needs in the morning with a good cuppa coffee. We loved how close it was to the Hout Bay Market and Fish in the rocks. The place had lovely facilities and a great shower

Loved the spacious kitchen as I love cooking,the house is big and beautiful with 3 balconies .the swimming pool was a bonus, although the water was a bit cold it was worth it

There's no microwave oven to warm food. Fridge space is very small. Had to sleep early because the owner doesn't like noise, even before 22h00 standard curfew
