Dirty

Location is good.

It was very dirty. I have pictures. Owner was there when we arrived, said cleaning lady didn't clean windows, but she will come clean it if we wanted. We said yes. Lady came to clean windows but it was still dirty. Hair everywhere!! In beds,on floor,in bathroom. Dirty toilet with poop on seat. Not like in pictures. No blind for privacy in living area and rubbish outside on wall. Dining chairs was DIRTY. Couch and walls very dirty. Was just not nice. She said sorry,there was people staying there for a long time but if you want to run a business like this,it needs to be clean. Cleaning lady asked me what I want her to clean,I told her everything and to make it smell nice,came back,it was a bit better,but still not clean. I am very understanding and have travelled a lot, but this was the dirtiest place I've seen. Bathroom door wont close properly . Asked her how the safe works and have still not had heard anything about that as I had my German friend with me and she wanted to lock away her passport. Also got a flea on me and she said there is a field nearby, I know fleas can get inside, as I stay on a farm,but picked it up in bed. When we spend money,we at least want a clean place. Furniture looks old and very used. Parking also not infront and have to carry your luggage. Also,had to phone for keys,no prior arrangements for that. 👎 I know this sounds like allot of complaints,but it's the way it was. I have always used Bookings.com for accommodation everywhere we book, I'll definitely start reading reviews from now on 😅

Not a bad stay if you are staying for 1 night, Not ideal if you are traveling with an elderly person

Walking distance from the ocean. Shops close by, easy access to main roads.

Very little communication from the hosts. Had to call to enter the property when we arrived and still had to wait 30 minutes for them to finish cleaning, because we arrived at 13:30. Parking was a distance away from the unit and traveling with an elderly lady this made it difficult. The unit, although very well furnished, was very tiny.

Very tiny. And they parking was a walk away. Traveling with an elderly lady made this uncomfortable. We also had a cat visit the unit a few times and two of us are higher allergic to cats

Overall we had a very pleasant week, thanks can recommend for small family - of 4 or 6 like us.

The owners opened for me. Access to the beach was very close - and the walk was lovely. The units' were clean, and nice bedding/beds, comfortable. Linen - overall was nice. Comfortable couch in the seating area.

Lack of a small container for dishwashing liquid - a little sunlight liquid would have been appreciated, as well as a small salt cellar with salt in it - small things that really are noticed and appreciated. We stayed in the Whale room - only challenge was the tv, a little small compared to the Dolphin room The fridge in the Dolphin room was a little too loud so my daughter had to switch it off during the night.

The apartment has an awkward layout. The rooms are more cubicle-like, with walls not completely close to the ceiling, which means everybody wakes up when the bathroom is used or lights are switched on. A loss of privacy.

Location is wonderful. Direct access to beach and close to shops and restaurants.

The functionality of the apartment is not great. Feels like dorm rooms. The kitchenette has the bare minimum. We ate out for almost every meal as you can’t cook very much in it. There is no view. Just a tiny little outdoor space looking onto bushes. The majority of the photos for this property are from the main house and not the apartment.

We will definitely recommend this property for a couple who would like to explore the area.

For the purpose of our stay, the location was perfect and we had everything we needed. Access to the property is on ground level with secure parking a short walk from the accommodation. It was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and it was quiet and peaceful.

We did not receive any instructions on how to enter the property and had to phone the host twice before we received any response. The property does have load shedding measures in place, but unfortunately, that failed while we were there and there was no backup solution for a light source in the accommodation itself. The host did apologise for the inconvenience the following day, but as locals, we do have sympathy for and understand the challenges, so luckily we had our own load shedding lights.

Easy access to the beach.

The amount of cockroaches in the room - the place even had a roach trap on top of the fridge which tells me this is an ongoing issue. Some of the equipment was malfunctioning. The is insufficient lighting in the room and the normal room cleaning one would expect in a self catering is done at additional cost. if

Vicinity to the beach, nice pool, lights and wifi on during loadshedding. The microwave was fixed promptly as well.
