perfect in every way

A Great holiday base, with lovely hosts

The hosts Ian and Ali were lovely and welcoming. The location was great too, was close to shops and restaurants. It was the perfect base to tour around Cape Town and surrounding area. Bays and table too mountain and other exceptional sights are very accessible.

This has been pointed out by several guests - the building is very awkward. It is built with a very steep roof that eats into the living spaces, my wife of 1.7m had to be careful not to bump her head against the trusses. Then you also had to climb 15 steps to reach the cabin! Kitchen is of no use, can't even wash dishes - we had to rely on eating out for the duration of our stay. TV is of no use and seriously needs an upgrade, both in hardware and software - "Open View" is VERY outdated! Bed in main bedroom needs to be replaced, worn out and very uncomfortable. There is a nice pool, but the area (braai grid, table) is not clean, could not use it. Cabin is along a very busy road (would say main road into Hout Bay) and it is very difficult to get onto the road with traffic from both sides. For the money charged, one can do better in Hout Bay!

Hout bay

A wonderful self contained cottage, very peaceful and private. Secure parking on the grounds. Ian was a wonderful host, met us and showed us around. Very spacious with its own garden area, great security

accommodation and facilities were good

We were not offered breakfast it was self catering

When I go on holiday the last thing I want to do is clean up my room or wash dishes- I feel the price charged should incorporate this. I had requested to leave a little later as my flight was only at 17.45 and that request was blue ticked. As a traveller I have found previous tenants will accommodate you especially since i had to deal with an 84 year old, i would have even been prepared to pay extra just to keep her comforatbal till like 12 pm etc.

Cute cottage in a beautiful setting.

Great location for exploring Hout Bay and cape point. Its in a beautiful setting. The cottage had everything we needed and they provided lots of local information.

Amazing views

Upon entering the property, we were warmly welcomed by Ian and his adorable dogs. It felt like home away from home. Everything about this place was absolutely amazing. The views were spectacular. I will definitely be back in summer to fully enjoy that pool a bit more.
