Terrible, awful, shocking, sleazy, busy, dark, noisy and unsafe area

I have already submitted my shocking story, in detail, re this booking to Booking.com. The apartment may have been nice but it is in a sleazy and unsafe area, down a dark alley, opposite a downtown pub with patrons drinking in the street and around the corner from a loud nightclub, Tin Roof. The area was busy, dark and felt very unsafe. None of this was made clear on the website, a fatal error. It does say it was a "central" apartment but that doesn't mean all of the above. I have requested a refund of my money as this was absolutely and totally unacceptable as a safe and convenient stay.

Unexpected urban oasis

It was so convenient for me, literally steps away from Cavendish square shopping centre. Small, neat and quiet building and beautifully decorated apartment. Lots of special touches and care taken by host.

Comfortable, clean, convenient and perfectly suited my needs for a short stay in CT.

I had a comfortable stay. The space had everything I needed and the location was good - close to where I was working and just a short walk to the shops. I also appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail, especially the well-stocked coffee and tea station, which kept me sorted for the entire weekend.

Something to keep in mind is that the room has sliding doors on both sides, opening onto a narrow outdoor space. So, there is fresh air and light. However, there isn’t a view to enjoy, but the setup does make you feel secure. There’s also no TV, although I personally didn’t need one during my stay.

Comfortable, convenient and affordable stay

The apartment was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect for our needs. Situated right on the Main Street, it had access to all shops in a short walk. Felt very safe being in the locality and the apartment.

Comfortable stay

Place was clean, comfortable and safe. Had everything we needed and the WiFi was fast and reliable. It's also within walking distance to Cavendish Mall which has everything. Pictures of the places are a true reflection of the accommodation.

It's very noisy. There is a club and a church on the same street and the music is very loud and it was that way every night for our stay. The gym comps that were given also did not work and payment was required. As mentioned there is no onsite secure parking, only parking in the street.

Not much, nice little kichenette

Noisy, were kept awake till 4am. Night club across the road was a noise generator, shouting etcetera No TV Entrance on a dingy sidestreet Tenant above made a lot of noise around 2am.

Very nice, comfy accommodation with friendly and very helpful host. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice restaurants in the area.

There's not much to complain about. Parking space is very limited. The host helped to organise parking for myself.

Lovely stay.

Deirdre is a lovely host, very friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated, and has all the other nittiest one sometimes has a need for like, a sowing kit or universal plugs and adaptors and even midnight snacks. Situated across the shopping mall, and the building is secure and save.

Noisy neighbors and taxi drivers hooting early morning. Municipality could pay more attention to the side walks, its dirty.

Cosy space in cape town

Everything is so cosy, I felt at home immediately. The host is very kind and helpful in every way, and apparently she thought about everything a travaler might need during their stay. Tiny things such as plug adapters, battery lights, cosmetics, first aid kit, blow dryer, scissors, were extremely helpful during my stay. The bed is comfortable and there is enough space for everything! Great stay in Cape town.

Neat hideaway close to the action

Beautifully decorated and very well cared for. Fully equipped. Comfortable bed. Close to my meetings in the centre of Claremont. Convenient for Cavendish. Two balconies! Deidrie, the host, is very welcoming, and it was special to have milk and bottled water in the fridge.

It's probably the smallest flat I've ever been in - especially the kitchen and though surprisingly light and airy, the windows look out only to walls. So, not for the claustrophobic. The shower could do with an upgrade, and the water did not get hot enough for a really nice shower.

The space is adorable and comfortable.

The street location isn’t ideal, it has an alley feel (and smell). However, it’s half a block from Main Road which is the main artery of this part of town, so it’s very convenient to get to the mall and get around.

We loved staying at Cosy and Quiet as it fulfilled our needs of wanting to stay near Cavendish and our daughter who lives nearby. The apartment was very clean and tidy , and it had everything to make our stay so comfortable. Our host Dierdre was very pleasant and friendly and responded promptly and very efficiently to all our needs for a memorable stay in Cape town. We would definitely stay at Quiet and Cosy again!

There wasnt anything that we didnt like or that affected our stay there. The only thing that i did find a bit cumbersome was opening and closing the huge aluminium gate but i got used to it after a few days. Nevertheless one has to be grateful for the safe parking it provided.

The apartment inside is nice for a short stay for adults however is not recommended for children.

The room and bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything looked just as the pictures that was shown on booking.com the bathroom shower was spacious and clean. The apartment is walking distance to Cavendish square which is a very nice shopping mall. There is a KFC and Pedro's fast food place in walking distance as well which we were happy to have our first dinner when we arrived. The kitchen is small and basic but it was nice to have a mini fridge.

The apartment is a micro apartment so that was quite a shock when we arrived. We are not use to such small spaces and especially did not expect or want that for a long vacation, we booked for 9 nights. Fortunately we could use the sofa to place our luggage. For us it was a mismatch with the price paid and the apartment value, it should not have been priced at what it was for what we were getting. It is really just a place to come and shower and sleep. The apartment is perfect for a single person but not for sharing. The pictures give an allusion that there is a terrace where you can spend time however this is not the case. The location is next to a nightclub and gambling place and also close to the bus terminal. These gave the location an unsafe feeling which caused us lots of concern when we arrived back at night after going out for dinners. Fortunately the nightclub and street security people assisted us as there were drunk vagrants hanging around causing problems. I do not recommend this place if you are traveling with children. It is not quiet with a lot of noise coming from the street taxis and night club patrons. We vacated the apartment earlier than our checkout date as we could not remain in such environment.

Deirdre, the host, is very welcoming, caretaking and helpful. Communication with her worked very well. You can feel that she cares a lot about the well-being of her guests. The apartment is well equiped.

The only windows in the apartment directly face walls of the very building, which unfortunately has an impact on the feel-good experience, while spending time in the apartment.
