What an experience!! Nice and cozy, hold on to your hat!!

The views are amazing. The bed was very comfortable and all necessities were there to prepare our own meals. Very well located with shops and resuarants a stone's throw away. Tv with wifi to connect your own streaming services like netflix, Amazon Video, Youtube, etc. Small but cozy, more than enough when you're there to explore Cape Town.

Due to constructon work, the normal parking area could not be used and we had to use the visitor's parking. This would not have been an issue but with winds like Cape Town are known for, it was very difficult to get our luggage up and down the stairs. The parking issue is temporary though and the normal parking will be much easier in high winds. The building is Iconic and very old with steel window frames and as almost everybody has experienced before, steel window frames are not very airtight and with the winds we had they were making a terrible noise throughout both nights. The second night we stayed we slept better due to the fact that we started to get used to the howling wind noises. I would say the host can try to seal the windows a little better with some weather strip or something similar. It will make the experience much better. Housekeeping could be tightened up a bit. Although the bedroom and main room was clean and tidy, we had to rewash some of the dishes and cutlery before we could use it. The dishwasher was quite dirty on the inside and could be the reason for the dirty dishes. The pan was not very old and dirty so we had to make our eggs in a pot. The bathroom could use a stool, chair or something in the corner to put your clothes on while your showering. The toilet kept running twice after flushing and we had to hit the flushing mechanism with a shoe to get it to stop. Due to maintenance being done to the building there was a ladder right in our doorway when we openend the door. This, I would think, will not be a permanent issue but only happened due to the maintenance being done.
