Wex1 building is fantastic however this short stay was disappointing. Host was helpful!

The coffee and side tables are all broken and/or delaminating, the fridge light was not working and the freezer iced, the pillows, bedding and towels were worn with bleach stain on the hand towel. The curtains are not lined enough and don't close over the full window. Room was infested with cockroaches on night 1 and I had to request fumigation be done.

No welcoming beverages like other hotels (disappointed)& no aircon system in the room 😢 as the Cape Town summer was hot and leaving the apartments hot and the TV system was not functioning well.

The ventilation was bad. The check-in method was chaotic. One of the apartment ran out of electricity during the night and I could not get hold of anyone to assist at that time of the morning. The beds were old and did not look presentable

Situated close to the city and the southern suburbs.

Although the apartment was clean, the linen was filthy, old and grey, and the duvet cover was torn. We actually went and bought new linen. Attempts to contact the property were unsuccessful. No air conditioning, and the fan didn’t work. No ventilation.

Disgusting, filthy apartment!

I wish there was an option for a zero/negative rating. The apartment was disgusting, it was dirty and had a terrible smell. The couch, chairs and bedding all had dirt marks and stains, so bad that I did not even want to sit on anything, the shower had, what looked like, white residue all over the floor, and there were flies and cockroaches all over the kitchen. The host is pathetic and does not respond to queries at all. They actually ignored me once I started asking questions about the state of the apartment. Terrible terrible experience! Do not stay here!

We were made to feel like we were committing a crime by allowing my brother and sister to visit us, we couldn’t enjoy the pool/bar facilities due to the fact that there was an event being held there- rules stated no loud music but the event was held, no visitors but our friends who were also staying there had visitors. The staff were condescending ill-mannered and rude, tv wasn’t working properly, lights were fused. The list goes on. We checked out quicker than we checked in within hours on th same day. Never again.

There is alot that needs to be improved in the apartment.

The restaurant and bar provided a great ambience with food and drinks. I loved the graffiti (artwork) in the lobby area. There is good and vigilant security at the Wex1 apartments.

I was woken up on Sunday at 10:00 am by a loud banging on the door and asked to leave the apartment, yet I had booked for two nights from Saturday to Monday morning. I had to explain to the personnel of the apartment, who indicated that on their message board, that they had received instructions that I had to check out. I explained to whoever placed the instructions on the message board made an error. There is a need to install the lighting fixtures properly in Apartment 519 of Wex1 as they are hanging.

It does not look like the pictures at all. The pics needs to be updated. The crockery is very poor. The upholstery is dirty. The bedding does not fit or cover the beds and is old and full of marks

Upon arrival the room was extremely hot. I contacted Richard and his response was to leave the room door open for air. I was furious because the window couldn’t even open and I needed to stay in a room that felt like an oven. Richard, as well as the receptionist was of no help. This is poor service.

Our experience at this apartment was truly awful and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same. From the start, communication with the host was extremely poor. I reported that the window in the apartment wouldn’t close, and despite texting and calling multiple times, I received no response for hours. In the meantime, the apartment itself was in an unacceptable condition. The bedding had noticeable dirty marks on the sheets and pillows, and the place didn’t feel clean at all. In the bathroom, there was a small door/hatch in the shower ceiling that was hanging open, which made us feel uncomfortable and uneasy. Hours later, the host finally replied saying they would send someone to fix the window but no one ever showed up. We had to sleep the entire night with the window wide open, freezing and exposed to the cold and outside noise. It felt like our concerns were completely ignored. Overall, this was a terrible experience. The lack of cleanliness, poor communication, and no effort to fix an urgent issue made our stay miserable. Based on our stay, I honestly don’t think anyone should book this apartment.

My stay was exceptional loved the view

Loved the place it was so cosy and very romantic the quietness and just being by yourself no disturbances and the fact that u didn't have to leave your room to go out to smoke just to go on the balcony 🙏🏼😝so much convenience love it

The showee. I didn't like the fact there was no mop ,no dishcloth or dry cloth the whole toilet floor was wet after the shower and we had to use the hand towel to dry the floor if there was a mop that wouldn't have been the case or a broom to sweep but nothing like that

'Drunk blacks were staying next door in apartment 505 making huge noise banging doors and drinking/ playing music until past 3am In the morning. No respect for anyone else or any of the building rules/ policies. Security doesn't do anything about it! Seems these people book a room for one person then bring 4-6 people in to party the whole night. Why is this allowed in this building?? Stricter rules should be implemented and security should check the balconies from the outside after 10pm too see who these fools are so they can be removed.

The security downstairs who are not directly linked to this vendor. They were able to tag us in and out of the building because our tag was not working which is something I also reported to no assistance.

Honestly everything. The place and mattress are dirty - looked like there were blood and pee stains. Pics on this ad are not true to what we got. We got two single bed mattress mashed up together with no headboard which were deflated and uncomfortable - we were expecting a single double bed. Our entrance tag did not work which was such an inconvenience as we always had to ask security (different people, having to explain why our tag is not working) all the time to get in and out. TV was not working, I asked the vendor if the issue is with the batteries or not, they said they would send someone to bring the batteries but didn't, we bought the batteries and it appeared that that was not the issue, the issue is the actual tv not working at all. No assistance provided even when we asked to change rooms, we were intentionally ignored for over 24hrs! Even when we had an issue with people periodically coming to knock at our door, they said they would send security up but they didn't. Horrible service, I regret booking!

Normally we enjoyed the stay, but last night was different.

We received our keys without a tag access the parking and the lifts. We could not use parking 274 and we were forced to park on ground floor. The window was broken and could not close and we felt cold and uncomfortable the whole night. The fridge was dirty and wasn't nice to put our stuff in a dirty fridge. The was a dirty green wash cloth the bathroom, properly the previous person's cloth. The kitchen tap was dripping the whole night and there was no kitchen cloth.

The host did not respond to both WhatsApp and calls. Their message was that they are available till 11pm, got to the property around 9pm and requested for the tag to access the building, no response till now. Had it not been for the security, we would not have been able to access the property. The property also does not have any tea or coffee and only 1 small soap

When I arrived, I couldnt get hold of the owner to get the key, so was waiting for half an hour, he said he was driving? Toaster didnt work, cockroaches visible, shower outflow not good as it was overflowing into the room, no plug for the kitchen sink, plug in bathroom basin not working. The next morning at 09.45 the cleaning lady just barged into the room and started cleaning, without knocking???
