This place is great for families with small children - It's warm and welcoming and it sort of gives you the "Scottish" experience feelings on the countryside (for those coming from outside the European continent). The small house looks nice and clean - stores are 1 minute away from this house (groceries, pharmacy, restaurants...etc). The bus station is close by (2-3 minutes walk) that takes you to the center of Edinburgh.

It took us more than 20 minutes to find out how to get the keys from locked box. It wasn't easy - specially considering that we came from a long flight (tired, not focused and with 3 kids!) - I'd suggest that you make sure to make this process easier.

No parking at all. Bins full on arrival with no information on what days and where to place them to be emptied. The bathroom needed attention, with the shower and lack of toilet rolls, 3 for 9 people for a week 🤣🤣. You don't get Villas on council estates. When I was able to park near the property a lovely neighbour put a nasty note on my vehicle window. The front and only door was broken and you needed to push hard with your foot to close it, which my kids were not able to do. The garden and broken shed were lacking a lot of love, the patio area looked like something Rabsie Nesbit would make. Clearly says no smoking, but someone had been smoking a fair bit before we arrived and we couldn't open the windows to let out the smell as the next door neighbour was burning paper and cardboard all evening on our arrival. 2 cereal bowls, no cooking trays, one small pan and small frying pan for 9 people but they did very quickly buy whole new pan sets, extra cutlery, trays, utensils and bowls. Plenty of shops very close by, brilliant bakery just a song as you are not faded by standing next to the typical council estate folks. Well HMP Edinburgh only a few stops away.
