Clean, comfortable, and above average accommodations

Excellent remodeling, thoughtful decorating, excellent bathrooms, and comfortable, immaculate beds. Very clean, colorful and cheerful. Great amenities (coffee machine, coffee cups, cookie snacks, and items people might use such as a pair of scissors, an electrical adaptor, etc.). Bottles of cold water in the refrigerator a plus. The self check in procedures were clear and simple. Excellent locks and secure doors/windows. Close to restaurants and shops.

1) Antique elevator (lift) didn’t work properly, stopped on the floor above, so you had to either carry luggage up from the ground floor or take the lift to the next floor up and carry luggage down to the room floor from the floor above. 2) Did not like that the hallway and stairs from the main door was without lights (completely dark!) until we made it up the first set of stairs to our suite door. Was a bit scary. 3) The modern lighting in the rooms was great when we wanted enough light, but when we were trying to relax before sleep, they were too bright and in your eyes for comfort. A smaller bedside lamp that didn’t shine in our eyes would have been welcome. 4) Might consider a 2nd chair on the balcony, so that 2 people could sit out there together. Otherwise, we loved the stay there

Modern rooms with minifridge

Appeared to be freshly renovated, very comfortable bed. Aircon worked very well. Had everything we needed from a room. Little coffee station shared between the rooms that was well stocked. We loved that it had a minifridge in the room so that we could store items from the supermarket which was about a 5 min walk. About the same distance to the train station and a luggage storage facility was just a couple of doors down. Very easy to catch the trains from there to cinque terre. The hosts were attentive and quick to respond to our messages.

Nothing to do with the appartment itself but we were 2 female travellers and were slightly uncomfortable walking past the park a block down the road in the evening. Felt completely safe once in the apartment building though.

Nice central room but no sleep because of a loud electrical humming

Nice location near the main station and a pretty good overall room with a nice bathroom.

The room was nice but there was a constant loud electrical humming to we could not to sleep at all. Maybe the other rooms are different but we dont reccomend staying in room nr. 7

Miserable

Knocking on the door before check-out time, water leakage in the bath tub, air conditioner above the bed, early check-out and no place to leave the bags. Bad experience, will not reccomend it to anyone. Quality-Price relation is misereable.

Everything was perfect, very clean, close to the train station, to the port, a very warm place to stay for a few days to enjoy La Spezia and the beautifulness of Cinque terre.

Great place to stay!

We had a great stay! The room was small but fully equipped with everything you need. It had plenty of storage, a nice shower and overall pretty Italian flair. Even if you need a cup of coffee in the morning they had one for all accessible. Extra bonuses also for a small fridge in the room and an AC, so it was always nice and cold. The location was super as well, near the transition, it would be a 5 min walk, but far enough away so it was very calm in the neighbourhood. Also a good bakery right in front. We were very happy we found that quite and pretty place and the communication with the host was great and very welcoming. Would recommend 10/10!

Perfect for exploring Cinqueterre by train

we really enjoyed staying at Ari guest house and it was such a short walk to the train station to explore Cinqueterre. The room was really lovely and clean, with a cleaner coming in the day. The only tiny issue we had was a few mosquitos in the room when we arrived. We had a very comfortable stay though!

The area doesn't feel very safe. It's hard to find a parking spot even in low season, but that's an issue for whole La Spezia.

Great value. Great location in proximity to the train station! Wonderful cafe across the street.

The wifi was quite cumbersome and did not initially work with the instructions we had which was a little stressful as we were having issues with our international call plan and wifi was our only way of communicating without massive charges. HOWEVER, the hosts were immediately available and gave us the workaround that work. And also offered to come out to the property to fix the issue if that first attempt didn't work. So they were fantastic and it was much appreciated.

Easy and efficient

It was a nice, clean, simple room. It easily fit my wife, 11-year-old son and me, and served as a nice home base for exploring Cinque Terre. And it was close to train station, a five-minute walk.

We had a very nice stay, would love to return again

The check-in was very easy. We got the instructions by What's Up. The location was great, near the railway station and it was easy to reach Cinque Terre by train. Ari Guest House is at a street full of orange trees which was very nice. The room was modern equiped and very clean. From Ari Guest House they suggested us to park at the free parking on Piazza D'armi - which is only 7 minutes walk from the Guest house. Only watch out to leave your car at the white zone and not the blue one, which is reserved for local police and you will get fined there. The lady from the guest house kindly recommended us some nice local restaurants for our dinner.
