Very enjoyable

Very good selection of food in the restaurant, dufficult to choose one member of staff all were very welcoming and friendly. This applied throughout the throughout the hotel. We spent a lot of time in the hotel at night and Michael in the lounge bar was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Accommodation Problems

The food and staff were very good. There are always plenty of choices with food and very fresh. The staff could not do enough for us to make a stay great.

Accommodations Problems. The rooms in Annexe were a little small to get around. Making getting on balcony very difficult for someone with walking difficulties. The fridge was too low on the ground, as was the safe, for someone with mobility problems.

Met expectations but attention to detail is needed

The staff were absolutely amazing. Reception staff especially. Jackie is extremely professional and welcoming 10/10

On first inspection the room although basic was as described so no complaints there. Offered basic facilities which were as expected. Cleanliness was also on first inspection okay however there is a lot of wear and tear and in particular the bathroom which was tired. Staining on tiled floor around wc and grout plus cal build up around shower cubicle The sink plug had rust on the chain so didn't use in the basin. Cracked tiles and missing tiles/finishing. Did not use blanket when felt cold during the night as it was not guarded in a sealed plastic bag so I could not determine that it was fresh Spare pillows however 🙂 Cooked breakfast was excellent. Really enjoyed but disappointed with the quality of fruit and general buffet selection. Evening meal unfortunately was also disappointing.

First class overnight stay

There is a high level of security using key card access which was great, preventing any unauthorised entry. The food was good well laid out and presented, plenty of selection I do not think it would possible to be disappointed with it. Everything was clean and kept tidy the plates were cleaned away promptly on completion of each course. I found it hard to believe it was a 3 star hotel as I rated it much higher. The rooms and bathroom facilities were also very good and well laid out everything was very clean. Live entertainment was in the terrace bar during the evening. We are making plans to stay again.

The car parking was good but expencive I was glad I was staying one night only

One small bugbear, no free drinks with your evening meals, just a jug of water would have been ideal but you had to buy ALL drinks.

Key card issues

Nice hotel, good location and hotel bar

Need cards for doors and lift, often cards needed resetting several times a day. Could tell staff were also frustrated with this. Good hotel but cards annoying.

AVOID… needs to be modernised and money spent on staff training as the place is trapped in the 80’s and in need of catch

Central location. Quieter area. Quiet rooms.

Staff were unapproachable, reception staff were dismissive and unhelpful. Room wasn’t cleaned and I had to ask for the clean the day after. Towels were very strained and needed replacing for clean, can’t believe the cleaning staff believed giving out the towels with stains was acceptable Rooms dated and poorly equipped. Complained after my stay to be told I should have spooked to someone in reception rather than email after my stay… very rude customer service. Stayed in many places in Benidorm, this hotel seems to think it is better than it is.

Very enjoyable weekend stay at the Calypso, happy to recommend & would stay again

Great location for bars/entertainment. Plenty of choices for food at mealtimes, even for picky eaters. Staff are very friendly & helpful.

Table waiting staff in the restaurant clear tables far too quickly. If you leave a table to get another drink from the machine or return to the buffet between meal courses, you will find your table has been completely cleared & reset for the next guests to use.
