Location was great
as this hotel is self check in there was no staff around at all at any time unless it was house keeping and non understood any english.
i stayed in room 604, unfortunately the room had a constant smell of sewage from the bathroom and when ever you flushed the toilet it just kept running to fill up.
i was woke up at the early hours of my last day as they were doing maintenance and drilling that was above my room and it was making alot of noise through the building, i had no notification that this was going to be happening.
in the shower there is a bottle holder, which is placed in the wrong place kept banging my arm on it, limited room to move around with where its positioned.
i booked this room as a double room but it was just 2 single beds pushed together so had restless nights sleep due to the gap between the best, no what i paid for.

Great location in old town, modern clean hotel.
Having read other reviews I was originally a bit anxious about whether I would end up hanging around to get the access code to get in, but I had advised the accommodation I would be early and the code was sent early as promised. I know Benidorm well and found the property very easily. My room was light bright and spotlessly clean. Good shower and comfy bed. Clothes hanging space very limited but as a solo traveller it was adequate. I had breakfast with my booking and although some foods not to my taste I enjoyed the cereals yogurts fresh fruit and continental choices. Had the weather been better I would have made a lot more use of the upstairs pool area with its stunning views of Levante beach. Staff very friendly. I would use again.

Stayed here previously when it was hotelcentromar - rooms and bathrooms have had a make over since then - they look great. WiFi was great, powerful shower with both rainfall style and a handheld - bathroom has toiletries, hairdryer and shaving mirror - large flatscreens in bedroom.large comfy bed , fridge, kettle, safe and a great handheld steamer to iron your clothes
The rooms have very little soundproofing (hotel supplies earplugs) and from around 9am the noise that the maids make daily from the hallways is deafening and if you’ve had a late night out partying you will not be getting a “lie in” despite putting the “do not disturb” sign on door - it was knocked several times with “cleaning” being shouted!

I loved the location in the old town. Once it passed 10pm it was so quiet.
Rooms were spacious and mega clean. Huge comfortable king size bed. I went as a solo traveller and felt safe. Had good hairdryer and even a garment steaming and coffee machine. I was also able to log into my prime account to watch tv.
Few tiny niggles. Shower was warm but wished it was hotter. The mirror in the bathroom takes forever to clear of steam after a shower. You can hear everything of the neighbouring rooms, full conversation and tv. Feels like zero soundproofing.
Wasn’t a fan of just a security guard, would prefer a receptionist as it would feel less intimidating as a solo female, that said they were always nice and polite. If you have an early flight please note you are unlikely to be able to get in prior to 3pm and you literally have to sit outside and wait for the code to access, you aren’t allowed to sit inside the hotel.

Never got to see it because they kept us waiting for an hour after a long drive on Christmas Eve for entry codes. We gave them the opportunity to send over having spent ages sending there information needed manually as the app did not work correctly for scanning passports.. Telephone staff did not do enough to get us codes so we had to pay elsewhere and check in so beware.

The location is amazing, with short walks to 2 beaches and the cleaning staff were amazing.

Pity about the noise
Great location and comfortable bed. Good sized terrace and lovely views. Bathroom small but shower excellent.
Unable to use the safe as previous occupant left it locked. The light around the TV had a mind of it's own as it came on in the middle of night and there's no way to turn it off other than wait for the timer to turn it off automatically. They provide ear plugs and for good reason. The walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything from adjoining rooms.

Perfect location!
Excellent location between both beaches. Was surprised by the amount of Spanish people on holiday there. Loved the choice of going to the more ‘British’ areas or not having too! Great mix of bars ( including fantastic gin bar!! ) and great atmosphere less than 200m from hotel ( down the slope!! )

A great place to base yourself to explore all that Benidorm has to offer.
Being a Benidorm regular for 25 years or so, the hotel Centro Mar was just what we were looking for. Situated in the heart of the Old Town, a few minutes stroll from the Levante Beach, the hotel was ideal for our needs. Essentially, we were looking for somewhere clean and comfortable to crash and that was what we got. It's a small hotel and facilities available reflect that. We were on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner, not that we made it to many breakfasts!). The food was fine. Being a small hotel, I wasn't expecting the large selection usually available at the larger hotels but the choice and quality was fine. The friend I was with is a fussy eater and even he never went hungry or had cause to complain about the quality. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms reflect the hotel. Small, comfortable, clean if basic. For those who need a fix of UK TV, the tv did offer BBC1 and 2. Note that not all rooms are front facing or have a sea view. If that's important, ask for a room on the 5th or 6th floors. Note also that the hotel is on an incline so that might be an issue for those with walking difficulties. It's on part of the very narrow old town street network that leads up to the Church so take that into account when booking a transfer - a coach will not be able to drop you off outside the hotel. A minibus might, a taxi definitely does. As for the Church - well worth a trip inside - it's only 50 meters or so away at the top of the hill. It has both clock and bell towers. The clock chimes every 15 minutes from 9.00am until 2.00pm when there's a break until 5.00pm, presumably for siesta time. The last chime is at 10.00pm. I don't know if those times change according to season - we stayed late September / early October. The bells ring out to call the faithful to pray before each mass - one mass per weekday, 3 or 4 on a Saturday or Sunday. Both chimes and bells are loud so bear in mind.
Lack of balcony furniture. Although narrow, a couple of chairs and a small table would have fitted and been a useful addition. Note that I do not consider this hotel suitable for those travelling with young children. It just does not have the facilities for such families but for adults used to the resort and not looking for 4 or 5 star pampering, this is a great base.
