Perfect for a couple of nights on a budget

We had a lovely stay. The staff were super helpful. It was quiet and a nice walk to Mazunte. It was very warm, but the staff provided us with an extra fan. Value for money was perfect.

A cute and chill posada close to the beach.

I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom for 3 nights. The Posada was quiet and restful. The room was perfect for me, a comfy bed, and the bathroom was only shared with one other person. Everything was clean and kept up to date. The owner and staff were friendly and really nice when it came to questions and requests. The whole place was chill with a garden and nice restaurant for breakfast. I chose to stay in San Augustinillo instead of Mazunte to be in a quiet place but still an easy walk to everything. The beaches are also nicer here. I’d definitely stay here again when in the area. Gracias por todo.

Perfect!

Ended up staying 11 nights and could have stayed longer. Great location - just across the road from beautiful beach and many good restaurants within 5 min walk. Super comfortable room which was regularly cleaned to a high standard during my stay. Shared bathroom kept very clean. Staff very kind and friendly. Strong wifi.

Great location with beach just across the road. Delicious breakfasts and coffee served in a pretty and peaceful courtyard/ garden. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Fans kept the air moving making it comfortable for bedtime.

An oasis in San Augustinillo

Wonderful location close to beach access. The grounds were a beautiful oasis with many spots to relax and chill. The kitchen and bar served great coffee and breakfasts. Our room was spacious and charming and had lots of hooks to hang our things.

It's pretty bare-bones living - no A/C, no glass on windows, no option for hot water from the shower (but why would you need hot water in this climate anyways). However, these aren't detractors if you know what to expect. It just adds to the charm of the space.

The Posada Poloma offers a very nice, quiet place to stay in close proximity to the beautiful beach.

The general sitting areas in the courtyard turned out to be a great place to visit with friends and to get in some reading along with a bit of work. The staff working the bar/food area, as well as those cleaning our room were very helpful and friendly.

The room could have used some shelving or hooks, but we just kept our bags pretty much packed. We appreciated the screens on the windows, but the ants sure had a way of finding our toothpaste and brushes in no time. Not a big deal.

Staff is friendly, very accommodating. Hotel grounds are well kept, breakfast was also delicious. Right next to the beach.

It was a very nice place and a great value for the money. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable, and removed from the busyness of the main road. Wonderful, helpful staff. I appreciated the environmentally conscious approach to water use. Relaxing and charming patio space. Sweet cat and a couple of pups who were always happy to pay a visit.

It’s not their fault the road is so busy these days, but they need to put windows in.

the garden is lovely as people say, and the people working here are exceptionally kind and friendly.

My room cost £64 per night and was very very basic. No aircon, no coffee maker, no fridge, nothing but two double beds, two overhead fans and screens on the windows but no glass. This was the biggest problem: my room (room 5) is right next to the extremely busy road with nothing at all to dampen the sound. Trucks would grind by at all hours making a noise like Soviet era tanks and causing the bed to shake, motorbikes would rev by with a noise like (to continue the Soviet arms analogy) AK47s and if you’d got any sleep at all the curtain-less window would have you awake at dawn.

Common space and employees are fantastic; owners have some work to do on their attitude

Common area is beautiful and open. Housekeeping staff and employees are very friendly and kind.

Owners were hot and cold. The male owner was always curt and borderline rude. The female owners were kind but got a bit weird when we returned the keys; we had to put a deposit at the beginning of the stay for the keys (100 pesos). And when the first half of our party returned their keys, we waited for the deposit back; when it wasn't automatically offered, we inquired and they made it seem like we were out of line for asking for it back. They said, "people usually leave it as a tip". We are absolutely not against tipping and we had been tipping our housekeeping daily but just the assumption and expectation that we should leave the 100p left a terrible taste in our mouths. Later on, when we were leaving the hotel, one of the employees ran after us and confirmed we had received our other room's deposit. He definitely made it clear that this "deposit keeping" was more of a routine vs a one-off.

Fantastic atmosphere and staff

The room was comfortable and the atmosphere is the posada was fantastic. I enjoyed relaxing in the hammock outside my room with views to their little tropical garden. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating with great restaurant recommendations!

The posada has a nice beautiful open space outside and the chilaquiles for breakfast were nice .The service was good, the staff as well. The location is perfect.

My room had nothing special, hardly any window/light, just a bed in a room really. The owner didn't seem interested in chatting and/or saying hello.
