Gorgeous, peaceful stay

Incredible location just 5 minutes from the beach and nice bars/restuarunts. SUCH a gorgeous feel to the place with a real eco and peaceful, communal atmosphere. There is a fridge and a kitchen which we used to make breakfasts and they provide free coffee. The host is soooo lovely and I just adored everything about this place.

We fell in love with this place and Mazunte immediately and we were surprised that our room was attended to daily by Luc

This place had its own unique rustic, magical charm. Very comfortable and the hosts, Abner and Patricia were warm and welcoming and very helpful, suggesting places to visit and where to find good food. Very open to suggestions on how to improve their property, but honestly, we could not think of anything we would change.

There was not anything we did not like.

A quaint stay that's very well positioned to the beach and in town with excellent hosts!

The proximity to the beach and its location within the town. The hosts were very nice and helpful. We would stay here again for sure. The common areas with hammocks were a nice touch as were all the potted plants.

The size of the main bed would be better if it were bigger, it was a bit snug for the two of us even though we are not large people. The extra twin bed was our savior though

Nice retreat in the center of all the action and close to the beach.

It was close to many shops and restaurants with safe off the street parking. It was great to have a refrigerator in the shared kitchen. I had hot water and good water pressure in the shower. A comfortable place to relax In hammocks. I enjoyed the AC which worked well. Very close to the beach.

It was close to night life and the music often went until 2 am. They offered me ear plugs which I already had. This may only be a concern for some and something to be aware of when booking. The music from nearby restaurants was welcomed before 11 pm.

Clean, organized, we loved it and recommend it

The place is modest and exactly what you need. We were greeted by Abner, such a young man and it surprised us, he was so businesslike and helpful! The place is well-kept and cozy, the water in the shower is excellent, there is a common area to sit outside and prepare food, if you want, and also drink coffee in the morning. It really feels like a 'guest house'. We loved it and we recommend the place.

The shower is really small, but we managed well nonetheless.

Good value in a good location. Right in the middle of all local shops and restaurants and walking distance from the beach. Don't expect too much since it is more of a budget hotel. But if all you need is a place to shower and sleep then this is a good option

Everything is perfect and we recommend everybody to stay as long as you can! 🙂 As soon as you check in you‘ll arrive in paradise and not only because of the beautiful place and location. Me and my partner are very happy about our short stay in Tierra Viva. From the first second on, we felt warmheartedly welcomed from the extraordinarily friendly staff. This accommodation offers everything that we needed for us in order to have a comfortable and restful night in Mazunte. Also worth mentioning is the few-minutes walk to Mazunte’s beautiful beaches. Highly recommendable!

Super clean! Our bedroom was cleaned every day which was a great bonus. We changed to the bigger room on the first night and the owners were very accommodating. Ideal location right in the centre of the small cute town.

We’re in nature so there are some little ants but nothing the hotel could control. Bathroom is pretty basic but does the job!

Great bungalow to work remotely

The bungalow was spacious, equipped with all we needed + fresh water, AC that works great and hot water. We would stay there again! The staff was very helpful and nice too!

Only downside was the internet outside of our room. When you’re here to work like we were, it can be a problem.. Fortunately, inside the bungalow it worked fine! and there are cafes around too if needed.

I liked everything. The location is central yet the Casa is still quiet and peaceful. The Casa is a two minute walk from a beautiful swimming beach and 10 minute walk to San Augustinillo Beach. Beds were firm with good pillows. Rooms are bright, clean and spacious. Would absolutely return. Highly recommended.

Pleasant & welcoming

It is a beautifully laid out. Pleanty of space with a well equiped kitchen. The grounds are maintained impeciable. Staff & hosts are amazing & helpful with tips on where to go. The room was comfortable with pleasant lighting for work. There were multiple internet service wincluding Starlink which made working a breeze. The location is on a quiet street with many places to take a short stroll to.

Superb

Our bungalow had everything that we needed in Mazunte and the location is great, only half a block from the main street and 2 blocks from the closest beach. We rented a scooter and were able to parked it inside the property. They provide potable water. A/C and wifi worked great! We liked that they are serious about recycling and being a sustainable-focused business. The staff is super friendly too, they helped us find a great taxi back to puerto escondido.

(I wished the common space was a bit more inviting, more like a garden rather than a patio)

Excellent location, specious apartment, lovely staff.

Excellent location - just a few steps from the beach and right by the street with all the bars and restaurants. Spacious and well-equipped apartment (3 fans and an AC - so needed in hot Mazunte). No water pressure or temperature problems (which is pretty special for this area!). We also got purified water which was being refilled for the entire stay and daily housekeeping. Outside of the apartment, there is also a lovely hammock common area. Also, such friendly staff - from the owner, through our host to housekeepers. they truly made our stay wonderful.

An amazing stay, full of best memories! <3

It's a fantastic place to stay, and I am super happy we chose it. We enjoyed this stay a lot! The location is excellent, close to the main street, Mazunte beaches, public transport stops, turtle museum, hiking routes etc. It's super close if you want to go to Ventinilla Beach or San Agustinillo, Zipolite or even Puerto Angel. And the host was very helpful, supportive, the apartment has everything you need for your daily living. I hope we will come back here!

The only downside could be the music from the street/bars because the apartment is in the middle of the action. But you get used to it in a couple of days, and bars closed at 11PM, so everything's fine. If you want quiet place, you have to look for apartments outside center.

Wonderful

I had a great stay! The room is like shown on the pictures, it is big and cones with a balcony. The bed was very comfy and the air-con made the heat of Mazunte barable. The staff is friendly and keep all the areas very clean. Its super close to the beach, the bakery, many restaurants, ... When I got sick the owners were super flexible to extend my stay and the staff took such good care of me. I will be forever thankful!

Very clean! Beautiful place. Very close to the beach. Safe parking. The hotel is on the mainstreet of the village. So, almost all the restaurant of the town are very close. The host help me to find my lost bag. Really appreciate! Thank a lot.

A bit expensive, but I’ve tried a lot of hotels in Mexico. If you want quality, you must pay the price.
